  1. I worked for the weedman for 3 years and sprayed poison ivy all the time around Owen Sound. If it is a big patch you may have to spray it a few times over the year to kill it all. They have a vine like root system and just shoot up. Round up works the best, poison ivy will just laugh at you with the orgainc stuff. Wear some rubber boots and long rubber gloves and wash everything after you are done. Spray as early in the season as you can. I have sprayed patches that were 2 feet high, had to spray it 2 years in a row to kill it all.

  2. Voltage gauge is better then a trim gauge. When I trim I go by rpm and how the boat is running. I drive a lot of boats where I work. Water pressure gauge will tell you if your motor is pumping water, so you wont over heat it. Speedo, rpm, volt and water pressure gauges.

  3. Once the ice leaves, go out in the boat it wont be so easy. Guys are just comparing to what it used to be. It will never be like it used to be. Very little stocking and no bait. Little stocking means not many fish.

  4. I have the elite 5 with gps and have used it this winter for ice fishing and has worked great for me. will mark a spilt shot above the minnow. I did not get the gold elite map card though. Did not have all the inland lakes that I fish. I have the great lakes and hotmaps card for the unit. This is probably the best gps/sonar you can buy for the money.

  5. I'm using the green sufix 832 on one of ice fishing jigging rods. I like it over the power pro. Does seem to be smoother and does not lose its colour like power pro. Have had no break offs or digg ins on the reel either. Look forward to using it this summer also.

  6. These will not hurt you, have not herd of many fish dieing from these. Northern lakes that have lake trout seem to have more on them and are still lots of lakers in these lakes I would be more worried about the tape worms found in the meat. I find tape worms in the dark meat on the lateral line under the skin when cutting it off, this year I have seen them on most lakers from lake joe. Have not seem any in the meat it self. no big deal just have to make sure you cook it well before eating.

  7. Ice is good. Snow and slush is not. Tried to get my hut out friday, could not get it out. Spent 3 days this week packing down a trail, but thrusday night it snowed 2 feet on top of what we had. Slush everywhere. Will not be fun for ATV's. Going to be work for any machine to get out. Going to check tommorow and see if the slush is better and work on making a new trail, may be a lost cause with warm weather coming.
