  1. Morning everyone,

was just wondering if anyone knows of any up to date websites or any knowledge of any pike or bass tournaments this fall. Any information would be great. I have been hunting online and am only really coming across circuits and the larger tournaments.. the smaller ones seem to have dead links and phone numbers that don't work.

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers,

    Jb

  2. I sample the mouth for the creek for the city of TO and frequently run into the Toronto Regional Conservation Authority out there, you'd be surprised what they've caught! Of course they're using that electroshock system haha but its always interesting to see whats hanging out in the waters!

  3. IMHO it does sound like those bass were well dead before the tourney.

I'm not a tourney angler, just a guy who likes to fish whenever I can.

Tournaments drive our industry, without them what little tackle industry there would be would still be in the stone ages. We'd all be using Mitchell 300 reels, mono line and yellow fiberglass Eagle Claw rods with carbide guides.

If you don't like tourneys go somewhere else to fish the weekend of an event. I know where they are each weekend and make plans accordingly.

Some of you crusty old buggers need to grow up and learn to accept that it's not always about you.

    Agreed.

  4. Great ramp, good parking $20 is fine with me. Anymore then that forget it. What kills me is the separate in/out/parking fees..

Yea, that kills me as well because it sounds like they are trying to justify what they are charging in their own mind.. so frustrating.

  5. Is this a small lake? I'm wondering if they're in cahoots with the cottage owners to try to make it a 'de facto' private lake by discouraging anyone else from getting on the water.

Its a decent size, maybe 4km long, and it connects to 2 smaller lakes.
