This is what I use. 6-ft. Galvanized Steel Ramps http://images.canadiantire.ca/media/images...50_CC_32111.jpg note sure if this image thing will work, but anyway, not keen on hinged ramps, kiss rule. true get as long as practical and tie them to bumper when unloading. Used 2x10 (cheap) but stopped before I really hurt myself. The F-L has nice folding aluminum ramp, but I'm scard to use them, looks to nice, easy to steal. My 5 cent

My neighbour has a 12 volt bk pump and he has no confidence in it. I installed a sump buddy, works off municipal water line (kinda like a jet pump). It works well, the only thing is they recommend using a ¾” line, but the ½” will do. So the ½” line is 18” away from sump pit, wish I had not been to lazy/cheap. But it does get rid of the water. Hi, I’m a long time lurcker , posting every once in while. I fish once in a while, but I mostly go for the ride. We ( the Family) are looking at going to Loon Lodge (Temagami) for some ice fishing, assuming it turns cold. We want a cabin & ice shack for the day. Just looking for some feedback, good or bad or sugestions. Carl

I would suggest contacting your outfitter, some have cancelled for the week. It has been raining for about 48 hrs here and the snow is going fast. On the bright side, the temp. is dropping, flurries outside with 5cm of snow predicted. Last Friday there was 20cm of good ice in the mouth of the French River, with 30cm in many areas. I wont be out this weekend, but I live here so I can wait for another weekend. Good luck

I was that way a few years back and you are right on Red Squirrel (in an old pit) as Tackle Buster said. If you continue up the road, you will arrive to a gate blocking access further east. Before the gate there is a walking access to Ferguson Bay. This part of road & parking is....., but I have seen plenty of canoes, it is about a 500+/- Ft walk to lake. The beach is amazing here.
