I use a Garmin 60csx along with the garmin topo maps and they work well for me.

I don't see why you couldn't get out and fish. Pay close attention to the weather before you go and even better have a weather radio with you to constantly monitor things while fishing. I grew up fishing on Lake Erie in a 14 ft boat and just use some common sense. Your best bet would have been in the spring when the fish are in shallower waters and closer to shore.

Just finished showing my wife the pics now its all she wants for her big birthday in a few years.

Monique it seem yous and your family have life all figured out. It can`t get any better then that. Enjoy it as long as you can as soon the kids will be at that age when hanging with the parents isn`t cool anymore and life will move on. But on the positive side you have TJ well trained and he`ll be there still.

I flew out with Leuenbergers in Nakina and Solo was correct it was Whittle Lake. Is there any lakes you haven`t been to Solo. The bugs we lite due to the weather so being that cold and rainy did have some positive affects.

Only problem with the trip is that it`s over now for the year and I have a whole year to wait for the next one.
