  1. if you don't have a tow package there is no wire provided. You have to add the blue wire from the controller to the rear plug like irishfield mentioned, you do have to also tap into the side of the brake switch that has 12v when the brake pedal is applied no wire is provided for this either, and then a 12v battery feed (should use a circuit breaker) in this circuit and a very good ground preferably to the battery neg. I would never use a tap in type quick connector, I know it's hard to get at that brake wire but soldier and shrink tube is best.

  2. And to think they couldn't get them off their lots in late '69 for $3400 !!

..well I've got that old Southwind motor home peaking out behind it that needs a good home.. that '77 Ramcharger.. chopped 6 inches in the background...

... and you :Gonefishing: fish too, I'm pretty sure your my newest most favoritest person! :thumbsup_anim:

  3. stop this now George.. before I have to go over to Chrysler and order an SRT. Wonder how many they'd give me for my 'bird ??

Nope.. just something about the old curves I can't go without...

What do you have any idea what that's worth? very nice irishfield I'd say one of the most desirable muscle cars in the world! :worthy::clapping: what else you got hiding around there?

  4. stop this now George.. before I have to go over to Chrysler and order an SRT. Wonder how many they'd give me for my 'bird ??

I'm trying to stay neutral here, isn't it working? Truth is my first new car was a 1979 Black Z28 with a 4 speed, had it for 9 years. If I could own anything I wanted now though it be a SRT 10 Viper powered truck!

  5. I caught the last bit of the news thingy... they had someone talking about how it was degrading enough to have to go to a shelter, but to then have to eat "dirty" birds... My god, I'm glad I don't live in TO.

Goose is excellent table fare. Much better for you than the crap they sell in the supermarket these days.

yeah I forgot about the "dirty bird" comment, I would love an explanation to what that means, anybody have any idea?

  6. Here is a couple of pics of my old Mopar, 1960 D100. I brought it in from Georgia last February, it is currently undergoing a frame off restoration. It took me years to find, I specifically wanted a 1960 same year I was born, short box and of course it had to be a Dodge. Dodge did not sell many pick ups in the 50's and early 60's making them very hard to find especially with enough left to rebuild.

  7. Thanks for that George! Ya know, that's always been my beef with the auto industry. Take for example this thread.. a guys post a pic of a vehicle that has everyone salivating and Chrysler isn't making them!

I really seems like all the major manufactures have been offering us their uninspiring designs for years and the ones consumers get excited over are just 'concepts' they unvail at autoshows.

the concepts are displayed to try out new ideas, the public's reaction to these concept vehicles is closely observed. If a concept gets enough attention at shows over a couple of years it has a chance to make it to market. The amount of market for that vehicle is what ultimately decides if it will be produced. The mustang , camaro and challenger were all concepts that got a lot of attention and are being produced, but these cars will not be big money makers, they are a image builder, the Viper is even a better example of a image builder and not a money maker. People's taste in cars varies a great deal and it's hard to satisfy all appetites especially in these times of making more profit rules.

  8. Well I watched Global and there was nothing.????????

it was on the Toronto 6 oclock news on Global Star choice channel 331. A member of the Senate I believe wants to have a cull to harvest Canada geese to feed the hungry. There are so many in the parks and beaches around TO that they are the reason for beeches being closed and the messy shoreline from you know what. They use dogs to try and scare the geese away. Of course there was opposition to the idea. They didn't really say whether the idea was going to go any further. I happen to think it's a heck of a good idea!

  9. I love the box mounted tool boxes but keep in mind they prevent you from putting on a cap and certain tonneau covers if that's important to you. Chrysler quit paying for fill ups on new vehicles a couple of months ago but I think the dealer should have adsorbed the cost and delivered it with a full tank.

  10. There is a spring Turkey hunt... starts April 27th/Monday I believe. They even added a fall hunt last year.

Thanks for that I hope they are still around, I'm still struggling with learning all the fishing regs. I was going to tackle hunting this fall/ winter.

  11. most commonly used is a deep cycle battery enclosed in a plastic battery box that comes with a couple of brackets and a strap that holds the lid and box secure to the boat. A little wood platform secured to the ribs of the boat would make a nice base for it all to sit on. If you want to go a little further install a on board waterproof battery charger and then just plug it in when not in use and the battery will always be charged. Minn Kota makes a great battery box it has two 12v plug in receptacles, battery gauge and two resettable circuit breakers. I just did my boat came out to about $300 for everything I mentioned.

  12. Gotcha.....I'd go with vinyl flooring over carpet. Carpet just holds dirt and water. The stuff never seems to dry. On my boat I used 1/2" cedar boards and left them bare. Its not fancy, but it works great, and will last for a long, long time. I put the boards in tight, and wet, and when they shrink a little, you get a small gap between them, just enough for dirt and crap to go thru into the bilge. I don't need anything fancy. I'd just wreck it anyways.......duck hunting is hard on equipment. Its kinda like having a deck in your boat.....I like it.

    Sinker

Hey Sinker I see that you used ceder on your boat, I recently found out that pressure treated lumber and aluminum have a bad reaction when side by side, the copper in the pressure treated wood corrodes the aluminum. I want to fill in between my casting decks and will be using cedar. Thought I'd mention it in case others might be considering using PT for various projects.
