Do you need a manual? Lost yours?...Need a part number? Check this site out...Must have every TM made by Minkota or MotorGuide!+ reels, electronics and yama o/b... Helped me and hopefully it can help you! http://www.nuggetfishing.com.au/index.php?option=com_vfm&Itemid=412 http://www.nuggetfishing.com.au/index.php?option=com_vfm&Itemid=412&dir=Fishing+Reels http://www.nuggetfishing.com.au/index.php?option=com_vfm&Itemid=412&dir=Electric+Motors|Minn+Kota http://www.nuggetfishing.com.au/index.php?option=com_vfm&Itemid=412&dir=Electric+Motors|Motorguide http://www.nuggetfishing.com.au/index.php?option=com_vfm&Itemid=412&dir=Marine+Electronics

Hey All Alot of you dudes helped my big time in the past and you know who you are...I just want to say thanks again!..I hooked up a MG 36lb trust Bow Mount...I ran marine grade 4 awg wire all soldered in place and solid...If I want to upgade to more power no need to re run wire.....Now to finally complete my set up I was told to run 40 amp breaker inside battery box cover...This 4guage wire is not easy to bend and I split my $10 NAPA breaker in half once compressing lid .... Now I found the specs on my unit , the attached Motor Guide diagarm shows 50 amp breaker used ( i have attached link to specs for you to check out- file to big to upload)...My questions are as follows: 1. 40amp (suggested by masses) or 50 amp (specs) for 12v 36 lb thrust - wire run is about 23 feet http://www.nuggetfishing.com.au/index.php?option=com_vfm&Itemid=412&do=view&file=Electric+Motors|Motorguide|F36.pdf 2. How the hell do you guys have enough room to install breaker inside battery box ( i have a 27 class Seasence Box) and make it all fit when closing lide and straping it down?... My boat is really tight for space and want to keep breader dry and best place for this is in box!! IF you have pics that would be much appreciated!!!! Help

interesting...so I guess the TSP won't harm the aluminum? Do you think its a good idea to apply a coat of auto carnuba wax afterwards?

I wanted to give the side of my alluminum boat a clean up as it is showing grim wear and tear...I found the following article suggesting to ues TSP. Check it out and let me know what you think? Is this stuff safe? Do you know any other safe alternatives? I have some nasty water stains on side of hull and want to jazz things up. Here is the ariticle let me know? Tuesday, 28 April 2009 Cleaning Aluminum Boats Before cleaning your aluminum boat it is important to remove all grease and oil from it's surface with a degreasing fluid. TSP, available at most hardware stores is a good choice for cleaning aluminum boats. Refer to the TSP manufacturer's mixing ratios. Before mixing, be sure to put on safety goggles and gloves to prevent irritation to your eyes and skin. The boat needs to be wet before applying TSP. Wet down the side of the boat thoroughly with a water hose. Generously apply the TSP mixture with a sponge, working from top to bottom, wiping with horizontal strokes. Rinse the cleaned area with plenty of water. Don't allow the TSP to dry on the surface of the boat. If after cleaning you notice algae stains, repeat the process. Trouble areas may require 2 or 3 cleanings. You can dry your boat with a cloth if you wish, but it isn't necessary. If your aluminum boat has been painted, clean with mild soap and water only. After drying, apply a coat of carnauba wax to protect it's surface from the elements. HERE IS ANOTHER LINK I FOUND: http://www.ehow.com/how_4463855_clean-aluminum-boats.html

Tried to charge me Deep cycle battery and does not hold charge....Worked ok before and it seems all of a suden...Did a Hydrometer gravity check and these are my results from left to right cell: Cell #1- 1.250 #2 - 1.100 #3 - 1.250 #4-1.275 $5-1.250 #6- 1.270 Now this was after a charge and removal of surface charge....Seems to me cell #2 is dead...is there any way I can revive this battery? If I were to use a good 15amp charger like CT Nautis one will this help...I want to make it till end of season and avoid having a new battery sit around all winter (charging it of course)....your thoughts?
-
My Engerizer 12v (850 CCA I belive) battery won't hold a charge any more. Was working fine couple of weeks ago and then hooked it up to my MotoMaster Eliminator charger at 12A charge rate...Once charged it says 100% next day when I check it drops back down to 10%....I then checked cells and topped up some with Distilled water...Again same thing....I then ran my trolling motor on it to remove any surface charge and repated process at 12 A then at 8A.... and yet the same thing...Is my charger not doing the job? Will a Natalus marine charge make a difference...How can I reveive this battery from the dead? Final note I think the battery was manufactured in May 2006... Let me know your thoughts..

Did u you use marine grade guage wire or and 6 or 4 gu from hardware store will do? 4. Buddy of mine have some high heat pure silver wire used to carry high loads in the machining industry?
