We are heading up in a few weeks for a boys weekend. Whats working , whats not, shallow or deep? last year we got skunked!!!! 2 huts 4 days=$2000, lures and tackle= $600, booze for the weekend= $1200, 12 grown men and no fish=priceless. and yes we will do it again!!!! good luck this year, any info is greatly appreciated, we can only get better

Happy holidays!!! in the last couple of posts i've read i've been told that some outfitters are putting out their huts... but this was b4 the "THAW" thats happened this week. Does anyone know what callander bay is like right now? we are going up on Jan 8... i'm a liitle nervous that we might need our canoe if you know of any website that has up to date ice conditions for callander bay, please let us know, that would be greatly appreciated desperately seeking hard water

especially if one of ur cabin mates have the "runs"

Yippeeee!!! we were a little woried after reading a few threads about "the thaw"....it'll be our first time up this early (jan 8).....we usually go up 2nd week of feb.. but we keep gettin skunked ( no its not us) lol.....if anyone can keep us updated on the ice conditions that would be great. thx phil

what are the ideal conditions to get some good thick ice?

We' re goin out on jan 6....the earliest we've ever gone....every other year we seem to take a beatin so we decided to go ealier this year.....i've heard that the ealier the better for fishin but what about the ice conditions are they pretty consistent year after year? phil
