  1. Tried SMB but for whatever reason (probably my cooking) it tasted very greasy. The one time I cut in to a LMB it had grubs in them and decided there are a lot better options for a feed so I don't bother with bass anymore.

Was in Temagami on the weekend and grilled walleye over the fire with a little spice around midnight. Was delicious. Not worth doing a report but here's a pic or two.

  2. I use a trolling motor on my SportsPal canoe and I'd like to have a removable 12v socket for it. I go island camping a couple times a year and it'd be nice to blow up an air mattress with the battery or charge a phone. I know I can buy the minnkota battery box but figure I can save some $ and do a DIY project. Anyone done that? Things to know?

  3. I've had SMB but thought it was pretty bad to be honest. However, I'm sure it was the new batter I used as it tasted very greasy which threw me off. I prefer not frying fish which I haven't done with bass so I should probably give it another chance before saying it's bad. The thing is, there is usually better fish to be had for cooking.

Is there pike where you're going? If so keep the hammer handles, take out the Y bones and they are as good tasting as walleye imo.

  4. LOL Fooled another one. LOL

Was nice to meet you as well Mr. Governator. For the life of me, I cant figure out you young fellas. ( did I just say, young fellas ) Hell, Im young too, at heart anyways. LOL. A nice easy paddle canoe and you got an electric motor to push ya around. LOL

Nice stringer of perch and yes, that area holds some nice bass. Keep it to yourself. If you do, they will be there years to come to play with again. I did notice your choice of spinner bait. :good:

There are many spots on the bay to explore, and access with a toon or canoe. Pm when you need a shore launch area.

See ya on the water again soon

    Tight lines

Well I can be lazy, sleep in and watch TV on a Sunday or have a trolling motor and be lazy while catching fish lol ;)

Also bumped in to Misfish on the water and had a nice chitchat about his 5 lakes in 5 days trip report. Awesome guy.

    Cheers

That has crossed the line between immoral and illegal...you can't operate at over 6mph within 100' of shore. He should be reported.

Dude gives it full throttle, the police boat is active in the marina and doesn't stop him? I've gone down to the shore 3x this year, twice on Saturdays and both times he was there zipping every hour out right close to shore not using the main bay. I'd say within 30' from shoreline.

  7. People have some nerve, that would piss me right off to no end. I'd at least have to say hey bud you're a little too close for comfort. Do you mind?

If you ever go shore fishing around Barrie's waterfront on a weekend, there's always this old jerk who hops on his Seadoo from the marina and burns it within 10' from the shore all the way down right on top of everyone's bait at full blast, then shoots right back to the docks. He does this about once every hour all day and just to be a jerk.
