I was a little dissapointed I didnt get to meet many more OFC'ers... the wife was getting a little anxious so we left just before 1 ..

Hey everyone

There seem to be so many different combos for the different types of fishing, I seem to be getting lost.

I was wondering if I, and the other members that might be in the same boat, could get a break down of the different rod and reel combos each of you prefer to use for a particular type of fishing... Ie: crankin, swimbaits, spinners, soft plastics. etc.etc.

the wife was getting a little restless and I thought it was time to go... for the first fishing show I've been to since I was like 10... it was a good time ! cant wait for the next one.

I was there ! haha it was a great seminar... bought two clackin' raps after that hhaah now I just need a nice rod n reel to use them ! aha

First time at the show and I was ok with it I guess.... Meeting Dave Mercer and having him involve us in his seminar was worth the show to me hahah Any ways, I didn't find any good deals I thought on rods and reels ... I bought some baits and what not... But I honestly saved m money and headed to BPS after the show and I bought a TONNE of stuff.

First time being there.... the show was a lot smaller than I expected... but at the same time... better than anything I had been to... So overall it was a good time.

If I don't catch any fish with the stuff I caught today then I should give it up haaha !

I personally haven't used them, but my boss has for Detroit red wings tickets.

I was going to purchase Stanley cup tickets from them and found they were very expensive. and on top of it all you have to pay a rediculous service charge. I forget what it is... But i think when i wanted to buy the playoff tix... it was something like $60-75 just in charges ! that was for 2 tickets.

I dont know where abouts the "stubhub" office is located in Daytona ( im pressuming thats what you mean by the 500 ) but i know in detroit its located on a NO PARKING ONE WAY street in downtown detroit... so once you buy the tickets... its a challenge to pick them up. you pretty well have to have someone drive around the block while your inside to avoid a parking ticket !

Again, Im sure its probably a different case in daytona, but who knows.

I've had very good luck with Ebay buying tickets. Ive purchased 4 sets of NHL tickets to BIG games, and always had good luck.... Hope this helped a bit

The grandparents are in Arizona and are coming back in the next week or so. The place they are staying at is right around the corner from cabelas.

Well there particular cabelas has Terminator T-2 spinners on sale for $2 ..... I want to see what colors they have but I cant seem to find the T-2 on the cabelas site or the BPS site. Only the T-1

Can anyone tell me the difference betweeen the two ?

Im thinking I need black, Chartreuse, and white...

Economy envy ? HAHAHAHAHA Yea, while Im driving to work tomorrow, listening to the American radio stations complaining about losing homes, jobs, money, lifes.... Ill be VERY envious !!

We're obviously affected by the US because, like everyone said, They are our biggest customer. Its in our best interest to take some sort of interest in what our " biggest customer" is going through, financially & economically.... Envy is the last thing I would call it !

Well... I think I just solved my problem.... Called my Uncle... he refuses to let us stay in a hotel... So I guess I will save my $100 a night and stay with family ! haha easy choice !

I have been looking for days at hotels, and I cant seem to pick one.

The debate is to stay down town or keep it near the outskirts/Missisauga area .... Any suggestions on hotels ?

If your stayin over for the weekend.... wheres everyone else stayin ?

Well as far as the humane aspect is concerned a bonk in the head before decapitation would have improved the situation but its not that bad. The heads not on the body, so it wouldnt feel the gutting occur or anything. As far as the rules goverening such behaviour the eel should have been whacked in teh head 1st. But it's not a huge deal.

 

As far as eating the heart is concerned, cultural difference. Beating is a moot point. Head is off, heart just doesnt know its dead yet. I'm sure you've seen TV shows of Inuit eating fresh killed seal liver, or caribou meat. No different.

I didnt get to see the episode last night, I was to busy surfin OFC and tryin to book rooms for this weekend ... but I could hear the wife watchin it !

I only started watchin the show a few weeks back and I think its a GREAT show. Again I didn't see the episode last night so I dont have an opinion on the matter.

The fact that they let his swearin on the air is just GREAT hahah it makes the show way better then hells kitchen I think.... He is a bit rude, but he sure does get his point across !

Yea Im looking forward to some of the seminars at the big tank. Never been to a show like this, so Im pretty excited ! haha hopefully I dont go to crazy and spend all my money as soon as I get there.

Just wondering what everyone is planning on gettin this weekend at the show ?

Im going to be looking mainly for some rod/reel combos. Crankin/swimbait ... flippin/pitchin... and a top water.

I want to get some Booyah spinners & Jigs, swimbaits, soft plastics, some hooks, sinkers, and some other misc. tackle!

Also, I think im going to try Jigs MORE this year. Rondeau bay is COVERED in weed beds, and I dont know anyone that I've been fishing with that has braved them and fished them. So that is a plan for this season.

If i see a good deal, ya never know ! Plus i have a gift card to BPS so im going to have to head there aswell !

Hopefully its a great weekend ! It isn't coming fast enough !
