  1. First time I bellied out in my F150 ... was lucky my buddy had a winch on his F250 ...and he pulled me right out (after a couple of embarassing pics with me hip deep in mud) ... went straight home and bought a winch specifically designed to fit into that hole in your front bumper where the licence plate goes.... have only used it twice (to rescue other folks) ... but wouldnt go into the bush without it :)

They also came with a pink stripe.

There's was about a dozen on a card  light white cardboard and Wonder Spoon wrote in pink.

Yep ... pretty sure they were $0.99 at Towers back in the '70's (when I was a kid) :) ...we used to call them the poor man's daredevil

As any parent of young children knows... finding the time to get out on the water can be challenging. Since I need to release my "cabin fever" somehow, I decided that I was going to start making my own custom (walleye) bucktail jigs. Just thought I would share some of the ones I've done recently. A couple of my buddies told me that I should start selling them, but as of right now it's just for my own use and enjoyment. If there's demand... I might considering selling them.

I think a lot of the problems originate from a high percentage of people buying them without any common sense.  It falls into the same category as super headlights that give off a nuclear glow at night blinding everyone oncoming.  Or lets have blue signal lights, etc.  Noisy mufflers,  tires that stick out a foot beyond the fenders, and we can go on with other items.  If they sell them in a store we can do whatever we want with them.  Some want to use them for hunting and scouting, not cool.  If someone was to use it at the lake during ice fishing simply to check for unseen pressure cracks, fine, but don't be buzzing around annoying people.

Missus bought me a drone for christmas...which I took back (before the 30 day return policy kicked in ... mostly because I hadn't decided exactly WHICH drone I need for my purposes ... SCOUTING ... not sure what the problem is with scouting is though...  as a prospector who travels the 'untravelled' places .. it'd be nice to send a drone over yonder hill or lake .. before having to cut my way through the crap to get there ... chances are nobody would ever know since i'm normally miles from the next human being or cell tower or plane :)

  5. Me three ... as much as I love my Maui Jims and do feel they were worth the extra $$ ... my most important thing for use in fishing is the polarized part ... you'll know they are good if you turn your head sideways and look at the clouds ... if the clouds don't change hue the glasses are no good ... and the other most important thing is clean and unscratched lenses ... I go through so many I normally buy the $20 pairs for fishing (and always have an extra pair on hand for anyone who comes along with me and realizes their fancy-schmancy glasses aren't worth a crap (no matter how much they paid) because they aren't polarized or are too scratched up.

I also agree with the safety ... been saved more than a few times when a boating partner got a little carried away on their hook-set (its not just when the pike decides for one last head-shake - just saying)

  6. Yup I remember that event ... not sure how I missed out on the 'gang' shot (probably lost somewhere behind Terry's big laker :) .. anyhow if memory serves me, I iced my pb whitey that day ... I'll do my best to be there ... great cause and great fun ! Gotta go look for the auction post now .. me thinks I gots some biddin to do :)
