  1. Just got back from Red cedar lake. Fishing was very slow. Fished the mouth of the Martin river into Red cedar with negative results. Fished from 7am to 9pm every day taking a break in the afternoon. Only caught 4 pics, 1 small mouth and two pike. Other people at the camp were catching nothing. all pics came on a jig and gulp grubs(white). Weather was poor with rain every day.
  2. I have been fishing the park before it was stocked with browns. Worms and spinners work best. I have only seen one pike caught, but they are there. Big ones too!! Good luck and have fun. P.S go early morning and late evening to avoid all the people tubing. Since the park started to run a bus through the park every 15 minutes its a pain in the ass.
  3. Got there late around 9am. very very very slow. got 3 dinks all day. 22 boats and seen about 12 fish caught. Locals said they were there yesterday LOL Todd.
  4. Was out at the mouth today, one word says it all "sucked" counted over 22 boats and only seen about 12 perch caught. I am sure more were caught. Spoke with a local and got the " should have been here yesterday speech" LOL. Oh well thats fishing, better then work. Todd.
  5. Thanks Rich that's the kind of answer I was looking for. I will let you know how we made out. Todd
  6. Hello everyone, Thinking of taking my son out for some perch action. I just got my first boat so I don't know where to go? Dunnville, Port Dover, long Point, Port Bruce........The list can go on. Once I am there do I just drive out and drop a minnow or is there a common land mark at the above places that everyone knows about ie light house, a barn on shore.....? I am new to the perch thing(in a boat) so any advice would help. I am not asking for you hot spots just a place to start so I can do the work and find MY hot spots. Thanks Todd.
  7. mmmmmmmmm....thanks, that's what I was looking for. Todd.
  8. Anyone try smoking fish over the open fire when the flames die down? I have tasted the results....it was great. Just looking into how to do it. Todd.
  9. What type of lures should I be getting for the pike? Todd
  10. Thanks guys, I have my own boat so that won't be an issue. We were gonna tent it but we wanted something dry if it rained. We are going to be fishing for the better part of the day so the cabins won't matter...unless they leak LOL. Like big guy said you only get what you pay for so we were not expecting 5 star camp, just 5 star fishing LOL. Thanks for all your help. What type of lures work best? Todd

  15. Thanks for the reply guys. Part of the trip was the drive North. I love taking it easy and getting away from it all. I will be hitting Simcoe and the BOQ this year. Fished Nipissing this winter...very slow I am sure it is different in the summer, just looking for lodges North:) Todd
  16. Hello everyone, we are planning a fishing trip to the North in the end of June and I was looking for suggestions on where to go. I want to fish for walleye pike and bass. We will have a 16 foot boat and are willing to drive max 12 hours from Toronto. Any suggestions of lodges or resorts Todd.
  17. Hello all, I have been a long time viewer posted a few questions with great answers. I have a few more questions I hope someone can help me with. I just got a used boat and I am in the process of getting it set up for some great lake fishing. I don't have to much knowledge on the great lakes. I am looking into taking the boaters course( I already have my card) for safety reasons. Here is where I need some help. What wind is the best(safest) for the different lakes, Huron, Erie and Ontario. What wind do you just stay home. Secondly where are some common launching spots on Lake Ontario( never fished Ontario from a boat) Any advice and knowledge you can give me will greatly help me with this new and exciting adventure. Thanks, Todd.
  18. Thanks guys. Never posted to much on this site before. Thanks for your help. Todd.
  19. I guess my question was a little confusing now that I read it myself. Question is..... if you take plastic grubs or worms out of its sealed zip locked package and place them in a tackle box do they dry up?
  20. I was at Bass pro today and I was looking at a plastic bait kit. You know all different colors of grubs and worms. It got me thinking....Do the grubs dry up if they are taken out of the bag they came in and placed in a tackle box ? DUXBWARE!!
  21. DONE....HOPE YOU CAN ENJOY SOME OF THAT GREAT JERK CHICKEN!!!!!! DUXBWARE!!!!
  22. Great work. Keep them coming. DUXBWARE!!
  23. Nobody in danger? with the driver hitting the boards I am sure that there were some fans(parents or other kids) around that could have been injured if the glass was broke. There is no need for this kind of behavior anywhere!!! Duxbware.
