  1. Well we went, and was totally disappointed! And my hubby LOVES the sportsman shows....He wanted to buy some decent boots but there was none to be had, plus 5 vendors we bought from last year only one of them was there and he didn't know if he would come back.....Alot of the vendors was talking about the prices going up on the booths too, one owner said something about another Early Spring show in February was really good, said they would go there next year. We live about an hour north and by the time we went and back we spent 60.00 for food, gas, parking, and to get in......We decided we are not going next year......

  2. May i put my 2 cents in?

If we did a boycott every 2 weeks on a different gas company it would get there attention.

As long as we allow them to do what they want ,when they want, then they will continue to raise prices.

They know very well people do not prepare and are spontaneous consumers. So if this was spread to enough people and we all buy our gas a few days before not the day before then it might be effective. But the fact is this, they will recover, just like they used the excuse of the fire to raise prices. It should not have effected the USA, but my friends said prices are outrageous there too.....Either way, the consumer loses, people best get back to the basics somewhere in the future we will have to do that.

  7. Going for your dreams

I was taught by my parents how to have a self-employed business...

In fact I just told my mom how much that small family business taught me skills to set the rest of my future.

My husband and I just got married a year ago, one thing attracted me is how he worked hard at a pool company and then repaired computers in the evening and weekends.

Well as of July 2006 I help convince him, I thought with careful budgeting, we could live off what he was making for repairs....

Right now we are able to pay the bills, maybe every once in awhile a dinner out....

But we are making it, and our business grew from 75 customers to now over 200 and still growing!

We can advise you on the best way to advertise and cost efficiency...In other words we learned the hard way

If you are good at whatever you do people will pay the extra to have a job done right....

Make sure you take time for yourself...and by all means

    FISH! it relieves stress!

  8. :Gonefishing: It is cold out there!

We caught 22 perch today, kept 2 that was 8 and 9 inches, took em home got em ready for the fry pan...Was delicious! We played in the snow on our toboggan too, i took a dump face first in the snow too....So we are going back out maybe Tuesday....

Has anyone heard how Port Bolster is doing?

Hope everyone did well, over the weekend.....Good Luck!

  9. I like walleye and bass

Husband likes a good fighting pike

Salmon was fun to catch this past year too....

But the most thrill I got was icefishing catching one after another....

Now if we could figure out how to get paid, let's say get paid 100,000 a year

I would the most loyal worker everyday!

  10. Husband just came home and said radio announced the Tournament has been canceled to the thousands that come in, there may be ice but not solid enough to hold the many people, cars and such to support all of them. I will try to find some more information as soon as possible.
