This is an idea, post an email address where alot of us can flood them with concerns and complaints even send it ot the place in question, the MNR, a few politicians......Numbers always get heard! Especially if done all at the same time! Hey it's an idea.....And the racial thing, it doesn't matter what race, its the fact that THEY are getting away with an illegal act! As always it's the Do Gooder's who pay for it! Lorissa

  7. When Hubby and I go fishing especially ice fishing we find all kinds of trash, so we try to pick up the trash while we are on the ice. Anyways, I found this article that sheds light on polluted waters from the trash.... Cigarette Butts Found on Bottom in 100 Feet of Water! This past summer, staff from the LSFAU conducted a bottom trawling study. As well as the usual fish staff encountered, they also hauled up a variety of garbage in various stages of decay. One such item that seemed to remain in its original condition, even when buried in silt in over 100 feet of water, was cigarette butts. On the day when the author of this newsletter was out trawling he witnessed first hand how staff of the Fish Unit would pick on their one fellow staff member who smoked (and who did "many moons ago" throw his cigarette butts overboard). Every time a butt was hauled from the depths, this poor guy would receive a tirade of abuse from his peers. Although he will remain nameless for fear of further condemnation, he respectfully asks all his smoking brethren to refrain from disposing of their butts in the lake… he is simply tired of accepting the blame for every single cigarette butt at the bottom of Lake Simcoe! 12. Well we decided to go see what was in the Pine River this morning... Left at 4 am drove to Southwest side Borden Base.... One place we always get salmon now has new owners and won't let anyone on property.... Found another spot and thrashed through bush....NOTHING! So we then went to a farm paid the farmer to let us roam the river....NOTHING...not even a chubby lil minnow...... So last but least checked out the Notty by Alliston......Absolutely-positively ........NOTHING! So have came to the conclusion, there must be like 2 terrified Salmon with 100 fisherman trying to catch em!!!! Maybe in a week or so will try again.... Lorissa
  13. As I posted a few days ago, is there any small tributaries with salmon this year? Or is it pretty much the bigger rivers and Georgian Bay? Husband keeps asking me, so this is why there is second post....Sorries Lorissa
  14. Need to stock up on a few Salmon again, to me it is the treat of the year! We go to the Pine River northwest of Aliston but southwest of the Borden base, has anybody been there and is there any salmon due to lack of rain..... Need to take a day from business and and head up there, really do not want to go to Nottawasaga unless there isn't any in Pine..... Lorissa

  17. Since this is my second year going salmon fishing....I would like to learn new techniques on catching a salmon. I know you guys (and a few ladies too) have alot of experience and have really been helpful to me before..... Hubby says this year there will probably not be any in the small tributaries, so we will have to go to bigger places. I know there is other traditional ways of catching salmon but I would like to learn new ways. Hope all is doing well, and hopefully alot of you have had a prosperous fishing season..... BTW I am a canadian in training now, getting most of the paperwork done and processed.... Need to get better at saying eh..... Thank you much.... Lorissa

  20. Hubby and I are looking for a new spot, we went to Port Severn the last few times but have not caught anything worth hooking. We would like to find a place less than an hour from Victoria Harbor, a place where we can rent for up to 4 people. Was looking at Honey Harbour, but is it to populated? If you have any ideas, sure would be appreciated. Lorissa
  21. When we are out not to far from shore in the canoe, and these speeding idiots I think are trying to make us overturn.....Don't know if I should say this but hubby waves a universal sign to them.....Second pet peeve is when my lure is bigger than the fish i caught and didn't really know was on there..... Lorissa
