  1. Hey Brandon, Amazing close ups, as an artist I just would love to paint the close ups of the heads...to replicate those irredescent colors would be a fun challenge. I'd say you capture it to a tee...birds are the most expressive animals...much more than mammals. Except for some reason, dogs and cats. I Love your approach on the angles and perspectives, you are very artistic. That one of the bird looking at you with a side glance is hilarious!!!!! Keep up the Great Work!!!! I always look forward to seeing your new shots! Fisher Girl

Hey Bushart, Very symbolic..and thought provoking. How about a title like...On the lookout!........it's amazing how art brings on a different reaction from each individual. We touch each soul in a different way...Keep it Up Fisher Girl...and fellow artist!

  5. These 2 paintings I had entered in our local club charity show and won 1st. prize for the Loon. I then sold it a few weeks after. What do you think???? The horse one is a mixed media, the background is watercolor painting, and the horse in acrylic paint. I know the mane dosen't look realistic like the face, I was trying to do a mixed realism with an abstract. My daughter out in Alberta just flipped over it, so it's hanging in her living room now. Thanks for all comments Fisher Girl
  6. Is there something wrong with this photo??? Fisher Girl

  8. Hey Brandon, Oh that shot of Mt. Baker, sure brings back memories of my visit to San Juan Island, and Washington State. My trip to Vancouver and the Island was just one big rain and heavy mist cover for almost the whole 14 days, but had at least a clear day for our camping trip up to Whistler. Gotta get back there when skies are clear and blue, and the mountains are everywhere!!!! Sure do enjoy your gorgeous shots, keep them coming!!!! Fisher Girl
  9. Don't know what I did wrong there, but here's the second Fisher Girl
  10. Just wanted to share these shots of some of our local waterfalls. I'm still experimenting with my shutter speed and aperture before I attempt those beautiful shots with the silky water. Maybe you guys won't mind sharing a few pointers!!!! Still have so much to learn, but it sure is fun in doing so!!!! every minute I spend out in the wild, the more alive I feel!!!! Catch Ya Later Fisher Girl...sorry could only upload the one shot, iIll post the second on a new topic
  11. Thanks Silverado sheriff, that pic has been posted for quit awhile and I was wondering what was wrong with it, no one was responding!!! I know there are many awesome photographers on this forum, and I'm honored to be able to show my art work as well as my photographs. It's always such a lift to see responses to my posts. Glad you enjoyed my shot of this amazing animal. Most people find them ugly, I think they are so well designed to live in the enviroment we struggle to survive in. And of course if our hunting gang is successful, we enjoy the meat so much!!!!! Fisher Girl
  12. Hey Geoff, Great compositions and a wonderful feel to the photos. I Love the spring with all the great flowing creeks and rivers, we have a few here in the Muskoka area of central Ontario. I'll post a few later. Thanks for sharing!!! FisherGirl
  13. Here's a few more samples of my work, the first is a watercolor of a moose on one of our favorites rivers in Algonquin Park, called The Tim River, We love paddling up that river in early May for the tasty lakers we catch in the Lake. The second painting is one I did as my sister's Christmas gift when she remodelled her livingroom. She wanted something special in a southwestern theme, and she just Loved it!!! All feedback is welcomed!!!! Fisher Girl...sorry guys uploaded them in the wrong order!!!!
  14. Super!! Great! Job, That's my favorite movie as well, and I Love that final scene when they finally make peace!!!! I know how difficult it is to paint in a corner, did a 12ft.x5ft. high mural of a golf course with a popular mountian peak in arizona as a backdrop, what a challenge that was. Always Great to see other artist's work. Looking forward to seeing more.. Fisher Girl
  15. Was totally blessed to have the opportunity to shoot this gentel giant, but whouldn't want to be this close during the rut. We were just coming back to the landing from a successful Lake Trout fishing excursion, and here he was chowing down on pond lily. Tons of flies all over him, but he didn't seemed to be bothered much, not like we were. Enjoy... Susan aka Fisher Girl
  16. Wow! Brandon, you're an exceptional photographer, NICE birds!!!!!!! Good eye!!!!!! I was out to the West coast 3 years ago and just Loved It!!! and was fortunate to experience Alberta last summer. Will share my Big Horn Sheep pics in future postings. I'm not quit at the SLR stage yet, but I'm looking at upgrading my zoom camera to an 18x optical zoom Panasonic. Like they say I can only afford "baby steps", but one day I'll be able to get the Nikon I always wanted. Thanks for posting all you stunning pics!!!! Susan aka Fisher Girl
  17. Here's another shot just from the dock, on our favorite lake, have caught many a walleye just off that island... Susan
  18. That's it I'm packed..when's the next plane out?....Stunning pics..exciting replay of all those landing experiences!!! seriously! ...where and how do we connect...ther'es nothing like the sound of a screaming drag and the sudden rush as those big toothy critters take those long sudden runs. Oh!!! be still my beating heart!!!! and those old yellow eyes, were sure in the bragging range. Amazing job, I'm still new to this site, but boy! if this is what goes on here...I'm hooked!!!!! Thanks for sharing a "life time dream trip" for most of us...looking forward to more....Keep'em coming... Susan

  20. Hey Guys, Here's my best as far as Northerns go, she was a brute at 42" long and 23" around the girth. Sure would have liked to have caught her on open water..... Susan
  21. O.K. let's try this one more time...hope this works...Susan
  22. Hello everyone, I'm from Central Ontario and have enjoyed viewing all of your "amazing" photographs, just wanted some feed back on some shots I'm been taking for the past year or so. I'm also an avid fisher woman who has been wetting a line since I was barely 3 yers. old. So I know my way around the open water and hard water seasons. I will share photos of what we love to fish for, which is quit the variety in the Muskoka region. Anyway to start off here's a shot I was lucky enough to get last April on Easter Morning. This little doe with her last years fawn where not shy when it came to feast on our pail of bird seed and cracked corn. That's what's on her nose. I'm also an acrylic and watercolor painter and will post some of my work as well. Hope you enjoy and please send all comments, good or bad. As an artist we strive to better ourselves constantly and need to hear all your critiques Susan
