Here is a site that helps you find the location of Lakes. It covers mostly NorthWestern Ontario but goes as far as and includes North Bay:
http://nomap.ca/%28S...29%29/Home.aspx
Click on FIND
Goto "select a map category", click on down arrowhead and click on "Lakes"
Enter a lake name
select a MNR district (click on down arrowhead) (if district is unknown click on "all districts"
click on Search and your lake should appear.

I came up with this idea a few years ago.
Build a 12" square tube structure made of 1/2 " Flowguard Cold CPVC. Glue all joints and secure to your rod with heavy duty cord. Your rod will go down the hole but the retainer won't. It is lightweight and very sturdy.

The system was so slow yesterday, I could not watch Youtube videos.
I can always tell when the children are home from school, the computer slows to a snails pace.

I decided that I should add a few pictures of my homemade beans so I whipped up a batch last night.
Slow cooker ready to roll
Beans prior to cooking. Used homemade smoked bacon in place of store bought.
Beans after 13 hours cooking.
Yummy......lunch!
Note:
For some reason the bean mixture was quite dry this morning but a 1/2 cup of water cured that.
These beans do not bark back at you, if you get my drift.
Enjoy

Here's a treat!
Baked Beans (Traditional)
Good old-fashioned baked beans without soaking ahead of time
1 lb. dried small white beans , rinsed
41/2 cups water
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 onion , chopped
1/2 pound raw bacon , sliced into small pieces
2 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
In slow-cooker , combine all ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW , 13 to 14 hours , stirring occasionally , if possible. Makes 6 to 8 servings. Enjoy!

Have you ever considered extracting the heat from the ground. Another option is to remove heat from water (my nephew just built a home by a lake and heats his home this way. Something to think about.
