It's an old camera, I didn't want to take the new one outside in the rain
.
I've heard lots about crappie getting caught, but I've yet to even see one personally.
I wish I did, they can fight really good.

This just sounds like a cheap gimmick to keep people happy.
Stupid holiday, but I'll take it anyway.

Yeah, it definitely puts a lot confidence in that one bait.
I just cleaned all those perch, and every single one was female and full of eggs.

Many of the marinas/backbays of Lake Ontario can provide good shorefishing for warmwater species.

I only like braid on my finesse rods like my tube and walleye jigging rigs. For everything else I prefer Flourocarbon. It's strong, has a little bit of stretch (but not as much as mono), and is almost completely invisible in all presentations, so you don't even have to tie a leader in many cases.

Also, all fish were taken on an orange hauger spoon. The cheap tape was peeling off by the end of the day, and this was the first trip I had used it.

Arrived up in Port Perry at about 7 o'clock, get set up before 7 30. Started drilling holes all around until I finally found one that was producing a steady line of perch. I was able to stay on the same hole for about 2.5 hours, catching perch quite steadily, and even kept 7 to take home. I was hoping and hoping for an eye or two to show up, but no luck. The temperature had risen from 14 to 35 in a matter of 4-5 hours! All in all, it was a enjoyable day.

Our forests are disappearing because corporations need advertisements to send out to millions of people 10 times a day.

I found the seminar to be very informative.
It definitely surpassed my expectations.
The entire show was excellent.

I'll be there bright and early Saturday for the Scottie downrigging seminar.
I'm really looking forward to it!

The titan looks like something I could definitely see myself buying.

Wow, thanks!

This is indeed good to see.

Thanks for all the tips!

I'm looking to do some laker fishing this spring.
Aside from trolling spoons, what are some good jigging techniques/baits that I should look out for?
-
Plenty of snow this winter, but still not much cold weather.

What are preferences for bait/presentations?
Dead minnows/live minnows?

I always thought 'That's why they call it fishing, not catching' to be really stupid.
Maybe it's just because I only hear it after a bad day on the water

I spent my afternoon on here.
Good forum, but still depressing.
-
Aw man, I was really hoping for something more optimistic than that.
Oh well, thanks.

I don't suppose you've been there recently?

It was just rain on the way home today thankfully, although it was right around freezing.
Scary stuff.
