  1. Gerritt, I used 5/8" at my old house but having in consideration Drycore is using OSB, why don't you recommend OSB?
  2. How do you shim it when I have a visible hump in the middle of the basement floor? As I framed and finished the exterior walls it's too late to use the self leveling concrete. In case of an infiltration I don't want that water to get stuck behind the wall. At my old house I used Gerritt's suggestion, membrane, plywood and tap cons. Along the walls I also made 10X3 openings for air vents. Any possible moisture or leak will breath and evaporate. Concrete at 6C starts forming condensation.
  3. Thanks everyone! BassPro offer on stand alone speakers is very limited, only one bulky model. I got some gift cards from BassPro for my B-day and I wanted to get something there. The US web site says $299 for stereo installation. Did anyone use their services? I just saw this YouTube review and building two MDF speakers boxes and attaching them under the port ans starboard consoles might be an idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4t_E3yukEkc Too bad I cannot find these ones. Maybe online order.
  4. Hi, I am looking for advice on how to install a marine stereo (AM/FM, SD card digital player) and two speakers on my Legend Xtreme. I don't want to install the stereo inside the glove compartment and I am hesitating of drilling 6 1/2'" speaker holes. Thanks a lot!
  5. Thanks Craig_Ritchie for sharing the info with us. I got my home and car insurance under the same policy as this way I felt I got a better deal from State Farm. For liability they offered me an umbrella of 2 mil$, no matter where the claim is from, from the house or from the car. For the boat they got me in the same package, total replacement of the boat (declared value) and liability. It doesn't matter who's fault it is.
