Yea i was fishing by the gov dock on saturday and the fishing for perch and bass was alright.

I was fishing off the gov dock on Kempenfelt bay beside like 20 fishermen, we were all pulling up perch after perch when suddenly someone catches a huge perch that must have been close to 2 pounds, it was so huge its spine was deformed, i was going to take out my camera to take a pic but the guy actually threw it back, i dont think he realized that it was a huge fish for perch size cause he looked like a beginner.

Well im going to wasaga today and i'd appreciate it if anyone could tell me any good river sections that hold bass, trout or salmon , thnx in advance.

not necessarily, if the conditions are good in Simcoe u can catch perch with every cast.

I don't know if it was just us but for the past week the perch and bass in Kmepenfelt Bay have almost completely shut down its very strange because justa couple of weeks ago they were biting pretty good, anyone have an idea why?

Just a quick question do bass generally stay in deeper water during the summer and transition to shallower water as fall comes in? Also ive noticed in kempenfelt bay atleast ina location ive found during the afternoon there is practically no bass weather it be rock, SM, or LM however as evening sets in we start getting hits like crazy especially from huge rockbass, so do bass stay in deeper water during the afternoon and move to shallower water in the evening and right into the morning?

Does anyone know if the river by Big bay Point plaza in Barrie which goes underneath the small bridge is the holland river? and if so is there any bass in it?

well went out to the same today after yesterdays dang heavy winds and there was stilla cold front and we hardly caught anything, my question during cold fronts do fish just shut down or do they move depper/shallower?

I dont we were trolling for like 20 minutes we mostly were casting a few hundred metres from the minet point park

omg guys i went out today in kempenfelt we were not more than 12 feet of water and i swear to god my dad hooks this enemormous smallmouth ona small rapala minnow imitation it had to be 6 pounds and upwards we get it to boat and the bass escapes because the hooks were way too small for it argggghhhhh, rest of the day we caught a few 3/4 pounder largemouth and enormous rock bass and the biggest perch ive ever seen.

As i said i dont have a fishfinder its kinda hard finding a deep weedline if ya dont have one u know....and ive looked at that map numerous times i still dont know what launch your talking about it has to be the Big bay point one or the gilford laucnh ?

How will i know ive reached a shoal i dont have a fishfinder yet will the bottom be visible or will there be lots of weeds? and when u mean innisfil ist the BiG Bay point marina correct?
