My breakers are 50 amp on the battery. I never reset them, just move the wire forward taking the breaker out.
They pop easier every time so I replace after the first pop. You can get them at stero shops also.
Chewing thick mate weed is where they pop most so not really issue on Simcoe and running them on 100% or high bypass is risky.
I was doing that one day pre-fishing for a tournament at a lake in New York, heard a funny sound and smell, one of the spade connectors on my foot control had melted in half. No fuse or breaker, luckily I had parts with me to fix it.

But I keep going back to questioning car vs a boat differences.
did they throw beefier cranks, rods and pistons in the marine block? Different cams for different power bands? A car uses a lot of torque and HP to get moving, then considerably less once momentum is gained, hills fade etc., whereas a boat needs continual power all the time except trolling. Or we’re all short blocks of the era simply robust enough to handle either ?Hack, with a marine engine you normally have an unlimited source of cool water for cooling, Years ago a lot of the short haul tractors I drove were gas engines, like a 460 cubic inch in Fords and a 440 cubic inch in Dodges. There were differences in the number of cooling passages in the block and heads because the truck engines operated under a heavier load, even though they probably had a bigger radiator too.

Hack, I believe the basic engines were the same, just adapted for marine use. Marine engines don't usually have to deal with the dust and dirt a car engine does.

Most of those inboards are based around an automotive engine, my searay had a 351 ford cleveland motor (mercruiser), some of those used 4 cylinder gm or ford motors.

No experience with an outboard starter, but with a car starter sometimes just the brushes were worn, a few bucks and a little time, easy fix.
A rough idea on new prices?

I got the Johnson & Johnson shot June 8th, only 1 shot for that one and no issues, not even a sore arm.

I have 4.18 acres of land but only cut around 2 1/2 acres of it. Bought one of these 2-3 years ago https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/bad-boy-zt-elite-zero-turn-lawn-mower-with-747cc-khl-pro-engine-bzs60kt745 my son who cuts the grass loves it, much better than our scrapped Cub Cadet or other MTD products.
I, or my son have been planting trees here for 30 years, so it would be hard to give an accurate estimate of how much time it saves over our last Cub Cadet 54 inch mower, but it is a lot. Flat wide open ground would be even more.

Well yes, not on trolling motors but I have seen some worn so badly the motor wouldn't run.

Limited experience, but those brushes are what I would call a wear item, they may start off flat, but wear into the shape of the commutator. Those don't look bad to me, but I don't know the original length. What were the issues with the motor?

I think a 3500 lb axle should be more than enough for that boat motor and trailer.
