Moosebunk, you've left me speechless. Epic comes to mind though.

Well Paul, I don't know if you saved another marrige but you sure made my wife want to meet you!
Ok, I have it figured out, you give us advice and parts to get to our wives!!!
All kidding aside Paul, you have a heart of gold. I'll bet you are going to enjoy that apple pie.
Cheers.

Ididn'tt realize he was your son.I guess ididn'tt pay attention to the other posts.
A strappinyoungug fellow!!Really knows his stuff too.
Theres a young guy, Max Chabot, who works at Sail here. You can see the love of the sport in his eyes when you talk to him.You usually see him in here when Berkley B1 is looking for scruteneers.
Nice young lad
Thanks Paul, he's my "little" guy. I've taken him fishing (along with his older sisters) since he was able to stand up and hold his own rod. I've told people that he knows more about the sport now than I did a twice his age. I don't know how he does it, but somehow he finds a way to catch fish when every else around his is getting skunked (including me).
It's funny watching him do his thing in that Sail vest and getting paid for something he normally does for free.......helping others. He used to go to Bass Pro and help other guys for free. It truly is a passion with him. I can only take credit for introducing him to the sport.

Is that truck on C-Bay? that's quite the rig..I wonder if the ministry of labour has seen that one?
Great fish man! You're doing great out there. My year on Nipissing has been dismal at best so far.
That wasn't too far from where we were fishing. Brian (wormdunker) saw it when he went for a boot in his ATV. Seems it's been there since January 14
Hate to see what that is going to cost him.
-
Nice meeting you Jay. Seems you did well over the week-end. Nice to see you caught some good sized fish.
Cheers.
-
Haha just watch the video where everyone was asking him what he was using
Ya, that was kinda funny. I was one of them

My son works part-time at the Vaughan store. As Paul stated earlier, it may not be the best fishing/outdoors store there is but, its certainly not the worst. I find the selection reasonable and the prices better than most.
My son's dream was to work at Bass Pro but given his young age he couldn't get a job there. He ended up getting hired by Sail and has enjoyed his job so far. Yes, they let a few guys go but they have kept him on.
He has a passion for the sport and an even greater passion to share his knowledge with others. I'm proud of his accomplishments and his knowledge of the sport at such a young age. Is he knowledgeable enough to help others? Well, just ask the guys who fished with him on Saturday's GTG on Lake Nippising.
Cheers.

How old did you say you were? 29? Again????? Hoping you have a good one BB.
Cheers.

Nick, I dropped the cover for my auger on the way back to the truck Saturday. Had to walk all the way back past the island to find it. I have to say that it was before the snow and a much larger item. Too bad about the lures. You worked so hard to get them

Hoping U were gonna "Drop in". Ice was perfect for a landing strip
Ya but it would have been fun to watch him take off in that storm Would have been great to see you Wayne, but you made the right call staying put. Hope to see you next year.

Here are a few more pics of Alexander's haul. He really kept us busy running back to his hut every time he landed one
This was his little walleye.
A couple of shots of his nice herring.
Thanks to Rod Caster(Chad) for explaining how to post this images though photo bucket
Cheers.

Great report Chad. Thanks for taking the time from fishing to come running every time we had a fish on the ice. It got crazy when Alexander decided to put on a clinic. Can't say I didn't warn you he was going to kick butt. He ran out of daylight or he would taken the prize for most fish as well. Good to see that Nick had a great day.
All in all it was a fantastic day. Good fishing, good food and great friends. It doesn't get any better than that!
Again, thank you Blair for organizing the event, hosting and taking the time away from your fishing to make this a memorable event. Memories for life!!!
Cheers.

No where right now Jacques. Just thinking of how nice it would be to someday hook-up with you for some ice fishing. Maybe my son Alexander could put on a "clinic" for us like he did in yesterday's GTG on Lake Nippising.
-
Thanks as always for sharing Jacques. Nice to hear of another GTG with you and Vince. We had a blast in North Bay this weekend. Next stop, La Belle Province. Well, maybe some time soon.
Cheers.

I would not have wanted that drive, man I left Blairs shack and he volunteered to drive with us the make sure me and my son go back to the park, good job I had a gps, visibility was maybe 10feet, it came up instantly, we went in the shack to say thanks and then I had the shack door ripped out of my hand with my guess 50kms winds, glad to see you made it home ok :-)
Thanks. Ya it was a wild storm alright. I had over 300km to travel and most of the first part of it we were crawling at 30-40km/hr. It seemed to come in waves but we were able to pick up some speed further south. Now a day of rest before I get back to the bump and grind.......
-
Well that was a fun ride back home! It took us over four hours of driving through hell to get home. White-outs, two conga lines and tons of blowing snow. Well at least we made it back in one piece. I'm dead tired, mainly from running back and forth to my son Alexander's hut to help him with his many fish.
We had a blast today fishing and meeting all the guys that showed up for the GTG. Special thanks to Blair for organizing the event and for meeting up with us yesterday to do some late afternoon perch fishing. Thanks to Chad as well for helping us though out the day.
Hope we can do this again next year!
Cheers.

Paul,
I was standing by a parts counter in Toronto waiting for a part when a guy came in off the street with what appeared to be a perfectly good (new) dryer belt cut (which he had bought from them the day before). He actually asked for a "splicing kit" to put it together. You see, he had to cut the belt because he didn't know how to put it around the drum of the dryer???? :rofl2:
Cheers.

You guys are too much!
-
I changed the parts provided by you...
But it was something else... And after seeing my frustration for 4 hours and not fixing the problem... My mom decided to call the repair man...
Did I start something here?
-
We should all chip in and get him a super man suite or some thing like that , he can were it to work and use it to make tv commercials for his business .
Super-Paul!!

That's awesome Tony Kudos to Paul
Jacques, all I can say is: Il est un homme fantastique!
I'm not suprised.
Neither am I really. Just reading his past posts tells me a great deal about him. Never seems to have anything negative to say.
the title of this thread sounds like a FOX network sitcom...
-
He just helped me out with parts for my washing machine...
Great friend to have... He's the kinda guy that would do anything for ya...
Ya, sure seems that way. Funny, he mentioned to me on the phone that the two of you have become good friends. Thats what makes this community so great. A diverse bunch, helping each other, with a common bond.......fishing.

Well I want to thank Mercman (Paul) for his help this past week. I had my Maytag front loader stop spinning and was faced with the problem of sourcing a new motor and control. After a couple of emails and a quick call to Paul, we had it all figured out. I recieved my package today as promised and installed it with out issue (or extra parts!!) He even sent some of his "famous" screwdrivers to take up with me this weekend to our GTG.
For those of you that don't know, Paul owns his own appliance parts store in Montreal. It was a pleasure speaking to him and he was more than generous by offering the parts at his cost. What a guy!
Thanks to Paul, I am able to to get away this weekend to North Bay for our GTG on Lake Nippising. As they say, happy wife...............happy life. Oh, we have clean clothes again too!
Thanks a bunch Paul. You 'da man.
Cheers.
