  1. 80 lb, 60" shaft for sure. when the wind picks up, or fishing current, you will be glad the extra thrust and shaft is there. and despite what you think about the ipilot - get it. you will appreciate spot lock and autopilot. once you use it you can't go back!
  2. palomar for pretty much everything. trilene knot if I'm up to it I used to do the uni to uni for braid to flouro/mono leader. tried out the Alberto this weekend. Definitely going to switch to that.
  3. how about www.wannabefisherman.com/shop for something a bit different?
  4. check the ads (kijiji particularly) to see what your boat and/or similar goes for. part of it will depend on the market for that type of boat. the warranties should be transferrable. it will be in the documentation you got with the boat. ownership, etc... is all the buyers responsibility. you just sign the ownership of the trailer over. and do up a bill of sale, that's all.
  5. My boat is for sale at the end of the season. it's a 2012 so only used for 2 seasons (from july to October 2012, june to now 2013). Garage stored in the winter. It's a Crestliner 1850 Raptor with a 200 hp Optimax. The boat is loaded up for fishing, with family features - a requirement by the other investor - such as fold up bench seat, swim platform, snap in carpet, full stand up cover. Tournament ready fishing that easily handles water sports and cruising. It's a rocket if you want it to be - 57 mph The boat is in mint condition. Crestliner warranty is transferrable. Motor has a 5 year warranty on it, also transferrable. So you can get a practically new boat without the price, with full coverage. Admittedly, it is out of your stated budget but if you're interested, email me at [email protected]
  6. As I understand, Legend gets their hulls from Smokercraft, but assembles the boats in Sudbury. In most models you can see similarities in the hulls.
  7. here's a different angle, you can see the impact better!
  8. nice! liked. like us too! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Wannabe-Fisherman/160075047347574
  9. i'm sure we'll see you on the water this season. not too many alumacrafts in this area.
  10. I have the frabill storm suit. killer. they just came out with the rainsuit which is a lighter version of the storm suit. I've been through full on downpours, sleet, snow, wind, boat spray, everything. Dry as a bone and comfortable. pricey but after the nasty outings... well worth it.
  11. ahh RICK! yes, awesome guy. Him and his fishing partner Marc are excellent guys to hang out with. we all went to the kapuskasing river tournament last year. done school yet? my boat's for sale! ahahaha
  12. Rick from where? Big boats have their limits... like the small lakes where all the awesome fishing is!
  13. this is last year's event we had because the big fire delayed our season and cancelled the mattagami tournament. we had our own event in june: http://www.wannabefisherman.com/fishing/millions-and-huff-victorious-at-the-2012-mattagami-invitational/ this one in 2011 we had after dismal results by several of us at the Cache tourney on Kenogamissi. It was depressing considering the amount of time we spend on that lake. So, we held the Tournament of Losers: http://www.wannabefisherman.com/fishing/the-losers-champion/
  14. Im in. We ran a couple the past couple of years, one at kenogamissi and one at mattagami.small, 10 boats and we kept the field to mediocre to crappy anglers lol. So targa couldnt come and take our money! Come to my site and fb page. Www.wannabefisherman.com
