  1. Fishing butler is great ,bought about 6.No complaints.Hows the banjo minnow working for any guys that have used them?.

Yeah, I have caught several Chinooks and browns on them in the Fall. Also caught several Largies with them too.

  2. Thanks all for the kind words.

The portable fish finder was a mod I did myself. This lowrance unit is from my boat but I use for ice fishing during the hard water times. I guess I could make a video of how I have it set up. :good:

That would be great Kevin! It's an excellent setup and will suit me perfectly when I pick up my Helix 5 this spring. Thanks.

  3. I stumbled across a show on Youtube called Perch Pro. I found it pretty good and watched all 6 episodes almost back to back, haha. It's a 3 day competition between 3 teams. I can't believe the size of the perch they catch over there. A 19" perch, that's crazy to think. Check it out.

  4. I remember one time my dad a I were launching at Port Dalhousie. The boat just got in the water and my dad went to park the truck. I looked down the dock and noticed a small Musky chillin under the dock. I was gonna tie the boat down but noticed it was in an eddy like pool and seemed to stay in same spot. And of course I was right there. Well I took 2 cast and had the Musky moving and then I noticed the boat floating away! I had to think quick, do I jump in, I had a float suit on, or what?? Well I decided to cast my lure onto the deck, which was carpeted thank goodness. And I reeled her back in without my dad noticing a thing. I can't believe how many things ran through my mind during that short period of time. Hahaha.

  5. Sure it's choreographed, but the reality of it is the pain they go through is very real! I can't imagine jumping outta the ring into a table....forget that! I am no fan of wrestling nowadays, as a kid, for sure! So my favourite wrestler was Buff Bagwell. His interviews....were just the best! A close second would be Big Pappa Pump!

  6. I remember one year I was fishing off a dock at Rice Lake at night. Using an original floating rapala, gold\black, and I hooked into something huge. It just darted straight out to the lake and would not stop! After about 40 seconds I had to hold the spool and the hooked straightened out. Reeled in a giant scale! Musta been one huge carp! If I didn't see that scale it woulda been a musky tale. ;)

Caught many O salmon in the fall time off the pier that took alot of line but not quite spooled. Now just waiting to hook into a spring chinook.

  7. Here's a great video on how nature maintains a balance.

Video is about how wolves change rivers.

I've watched that documentary a few weeks ago, very interesting and educational. I liked it.

When I first read this post, I thought of a movie called Idiocracy. If you seen it, then you would know what I am talking about, haha. No point even commenting on the thought of eradicating all wolves. Just too ludicrous of an idea to even think. Wow, some people are so idiotic, much like that musky killer this summer and his defense on why he did what he did. Nuts.

  8. Just keep pressing 1 on your phone while they are talking. They will ask what you are doing and you can say you are pressing 1 for english. :)

Yeah, I have had them call me several times. They indicate they can see my pc and the traffic and that I have a virus....I laugh and hang up.

  9. I would like to try some new area's and was wondering if Crappie would be readily available this time of year from shore? Looking at hitting Martindale Pond or somewhere on the Welland Canal. Any advice for this time of year? Would they typically be in shallower or deeper? From the experience I have had with Crappie, they tend to move alot. But my experience has really only been in the summer at Rice Lake.

    Thanks

  10. I have a toilet snake, but I doubt it would do much. This stuff is caked on pretty good. Thankfully I got most of it before I put the toilet on. But there was an elbow perhaps a foot down and couldn't get beyond that. Aplumma mentioned the sediment should only go down a foot. So I imagine not much beyond that. Flushing way better now though.

  11. I have a brand new toilet, so no leak. My previous one, I wouldn't doubt it. Yeah, I am a little perplexed if there is some kind of treatment for it. I have heard of a tool that shreds roots, perhaps that would work on this too?
