Im Wondering if anyone on here has any experience with Moira lake? What's it like hows the fishing, good place to visit? Etc? Any opinions would be good to hear, good or bad..

Ya you make some good points, I did install a bilge pump with a float in case it rains I don't have a cover for it. Some of the marinas have coded gate access to enter on to their docks, although that doesn't prevent someone from coming up to it by water. It has just a 15 hp Merc pad locked on it, so even still could still be easily stolen. $600 does seem to be the going rate, just considering it for now, definitely don't want it stolen and would prefer to just deal with moving a few vehicles around to get it in and out of the driveway rather then paying for dry storage. Lots to consider I guess...

well would be nice to drive up park and hop in boat and head out, also have storage issues with the boat at my house constantly moving stuff around to take it in and out and its more of a pain then its worth.

Any recommendations for places to moor a 14ft fishing boat for the season? I was thinking about either scuggog or rice lake? Or maybe another lake on the Trent system. Anyone have any experience with mooring their boat at a place?

Has anyone had any luck on scuggog so far? What's some of the best places to try on the lake? I'm heading up there today to see what luck I can find.

Great event I hope you raise lots of money!!! I was just diagnosed with cancer a few days ago, so I really appreciate anyone trying to raise money to find a cure. I'm just 33 years old and it's a shock to myself and my entire network of friends and family.

I can't see anyone in the government who has a heart not making it very difficult to go ahead with the development. I hope it gets tied up for years!!

I wonder about the outter smaller islands at the southern end of the big island I wonder if those are owned by this guy as well... The whole thing saddens me, I really wish it were not to be developed, it's one of the last gems out there. So many of us have fond memories of times past spent on the island.

Is there any update on the development of the big island on pigeon lake? I did find out it was sold 2 years ago to a guy named Terry Wilson. What I am wanting to know is the island going to be developed? Can one still anchor to the island and set foot upon it. I know last July I did camp on the south end of the island and I did not see any evidence of development. I have been enjoying this island for more then 20 years and I hope to still enjoy it in the future..

Is there any update on this topic? I understand the island was sold two years ago but can't find any info on what the future of the island will be? Have people been banned from setting foot on this island as of yet?
