  1. Not sure about LOTW yet Darrell, but we'll likely be up your way soon enough. How's the ice so far? T
  2. One more pic
  3. I've finally finished my latest project. Merry Christmas to me!
  4. Has anyone every fished Muskies on Lovesick Lake before. I'll be at the cottage on the weekend at Stoney and would like to check it out. I've been meaning to do so for a while now. Any info would be great because as it stands, I'm flying blind. Thanks in advance. Tim
  5. Hey Guys, Thanks for all the help. I've definitely got the tackle for the beasts down there, I've just got to find them. Below is a pic of my biggest freshwater Cuda. Hope to best that one next week. Again, thanks for all the great advice. T
  6. Sweet Ski! Congrats! T
  7. Bump
  8. Hey Guys, Just thought I would throw this out there. There's no better place on the net for advice, so any help would be much appreciated. I'm likely going to be staying in Cayo Coco (Oasis or Melia) in a few weeks, and would like to do some surf fishing. What can I expect? What should I bring? Any info on the resorts? Thanks in advance. Tim
  9. Is it possible that some of the GBay Tribs will be blown with the minimal amount of rain that we're getting overnight. From what I can see it's not likely but from looking at some other boards, either guys are protecting their spots or they actually think that this is true. I'm looking at the Bighead, Sauble, Notty, etc. Anyways, just looking for some insight. PM me if preferred. Thanks in advance. Tim
  10. Hi Guys and Gals. I'm looking for a little advice. I'm thinking of putting a casting platform on my 14ft. aluminum boat this spring. I understand there is a spray on product to treat marine plywood as well as a plastic wrap for the wood that is available. Any suggestions / advice from some experienced deckers?? Thanks in advance. Tim
  11. Looking to get my brother out on the weekend. I was thinking about fishing lake Joseph. Does any one have any information on ice conditions for the area. I'm just hoping it will hold up during the warm spell this week. Thanks in advance. Tim
  12. Hey Bly, You know what, steel and muskie are very similar in many respects, yet very different in others. They are my two favorite species to target, likely because they are the two most difficult species to master (imho). The difference is that with muskie, the difficulties lie in the hunt (that part is most difficult). If you're geared up properly, you should be able to land them. With steelhead, while the hunt is fun, you generally know when they are there. The real thrill for me and many others is watching the float go down, and the fight that ensues. When you're geared up lightly, often times you sacrifice strength for stealth, and as a result you may hook more but you'll also lose more. Nonetheless they are both great fish. It's probably a good thing the bows don't run in the summer or I would have a real dilemma! Take care, Tim
  13. Nice report Bly, but I will warn you - steelheading is one tough addiction to shake! Congrats, and welcome to the club! Tim
  14. Can only guess on the weight of this one, but she was a big girl.
