  1. Wow what a train wreck. I still have some hope though. Until they are mathematically eliminated I will watch. Actually I am likely to watch even after they get eliminated. If they can turn this thing around and get a couple wins and get some help they have a chance going into the last few games.

  2. The express 870's are not the same gun as the old 870's and certainly not the wing masters. They are a redesign. As for the comment about the the black shadow. The only thing I can see that is different is the stock and the stamp on the side. All the internals look very similar if not identical. Anyhow. The story on the 1300 was that some deal was made with the new factory to stop production on the 1300 for 3 years as a cool down period than bring it back under a new name. The SXP. I don't really know why, likely some marketing dufos. Anyhow, take a look at the reviews and put one on your shoulder. If it feels good and it comes the way you want it. For the price it's a far better gun that a mossberg 535 or a bare bones 870 express imo. And I have shot and owned both. Like I said, go shoulder one. Cycle it. Feel the trigger. Shake it. See how the fir and finish is. Dollar for dollar and sub 400 you will have a tough time beating it.

  3. Well I just thought I would pass on the deal. I have been looking to buy a Winchester 1300 Speedpump after selling mine a few years ago. I tried so many other shotguns and never found one as slick as that one. Anyhow I decided to pickup the new version the Winchester SXP Black Shadow in 3.5" 12 gauge. Well I started doing the rounds on the internet looking for the best price... 499 @cabelas plus shipping, 419 @ Epps plus 40 in as round trip, 389 at Gagnon, surprise no stock after 30 minutes on the phone... Bass Pro no interest in checking prices after they lost my PAL the last time I went to go look at a gun, Gagnon's didn't have a new one in stock but did have a used one for 369....

Well I had settled on Epps as 420 seemed like a good deal, then I remembered to check with Sail. Well Sail has them for 369. Yah the same price as a used one from around the corner at Gagnon. Anyhow. I was happy to find that deal, called them up to confirm stock and they pulled one off the shelf for me(something Epps won't do unless you pre buy it over the phone). Anyhow, I was very happy to see that the gun has the same shouldered feel and with the inertia driven action I hope it shoots and pumps as smooth as my old speedpump. Yes I know its not the fanciest of pump guns out there, but I can tell you this compared dollar for dollar against the others its a fair more solid gun.

Anyhow just wanted to let you folks know to make sure you check Sail

  4. Well, I have had some.. err.. "experience" with a couple of sunshine girls. Not all of them are so creepy and weird looking. Part of it is the photography as well. Some of th emodels have had some bad experience with photographers in the past. Its not as happy go lucky as it may seem.

  5. Leafs have Philly, Det, Calgary, Boston, Winnipeg, Tampa, Florida and Ottawa left to play.

I see 6 games they should have not really issues winning. They need these next few games pretty bad. If they drop the next two its fat lady time. Tough to go into a back 2 back needing to win both games, but its where its at. This one is going to come down to the wire.

  6. Yah, for me last year was real tough for trout opener. Couldn't find them. I would think with another late ice out, this year is shaping up to be even later, it will be difficult. I think some species are on a clock and others go by water temperature. The ones that go by water temp will spawn late. On the plus side we may go ice fishing for the trout opener this year in algonquin.

  8. I plan on creating a video blog of my human powered escapades on the water this year. My goal is to catch all of the following from said vehicle...

Laker, Speckle, Splake, LM Bass, SM bass, Pike, Musky, Crappie, Walleye, Carp.

I would add rainbow but I don't really have a good spot to go for bows and being in a new fishing rig that I am not too familiar with I don't really want to explore too many unfamiliar waters.

  9. Its a nice trip, as for the fishing, I didn't catch anything worth noting while we were there but I think it could have gone one way or the other. There are easier to get to places for better fishing that's for sure but as I said its a great trip. I try and limit my single legs to under 5km's of relatively flat ground so this is on the upper edge of uncomfortable.

Oh yah, watch out for the muck on the nippissing

  10. From what I read it was actually airborn for 200-300 feet before landing as per the quote below.

“The vehicle was airborne for 200 to 300 feet and when it landed it rolled a couple of times,” says Brock Fire Chief Rick Harrison.
