Been there a couple of times. Ice is good. Snow is almost gone after rain.

No one recommand Raven centrepin? They're very reliable.
Al Flarherty and Fishing online carry them.

It's used to be a very good spot.
I fished there every year until last year. Always caught 3+ pd bass.

Try to troll in scugog river. Some muskie are cruising there.

A good 8 HP should be strong enough to push you boat even in so windy area like BOQ.

I use 60~80 pd braid line, depend on how heavy my rod is.

I do have one cradle. I dont use it often. I prefer my frabill net.

Scugog is a good lake for beginner.

Yum 6" Pink Senko worm work well.

I dont keep bass at all. The taste is OK but I just wanna release them.

Well, I just thought they are not right model for Brown trout in Grand river. I only used Nymph or Caddis over there.
I may be wrong though.

1) Rapala Huskie jerk (Blue & Silver, Crown).
2) Silver spoon with bucktail
3) Soft (Plastic) jerk

A couple of local (Toronto) tackle stores carry black beno. Beno are very good for walleye and muskie.

Last year I did good on number but not on size. The biggest one is 21 pound chunky.
