  1. At this point who knows if it will be cabelas or Basspro .

I know that when I drive North on the Laurentian autoroute Highway 15 I see a sign around Blainville indicating that Basspro is coming to Quebec.

But we also here Cabelas may be on its way .I want it because my current outdoor stores do not provide enough selection.

For now I have good old cousin Percher who picks me up what I need at Basspro when we meet up in Quinte I have to say Dan is really good to me.

  2. I always enjoy your diehard reports Eric .

Keep em coming it seems to take the focus off the ugly rants when the transition period takes

place from soft water to hard water.

    Nice mixed bag of species.

I can't take little tinny's out anymore because I flip them really well and it woud be very cold at this time of year.

  3. Well with some of you posting your year in review I thought I would give it a whirl.

This was a tough year for me If I fished out of others boats I seemed to find the fish but

if I was in my boat I had a tough time my son however found a way to slime the boat time

    after time.

2 species I have never caught will have to wait until next year.

I am yet to catch my first Lake trout (My son knows how to do that).

Muskie was not to be this year but I did get my first follow.

New species I caught a shad pretty big one too.

Overall it was a good year except for the numerous times getting chased off the water

    by multiple thunderstorms.

Although my year was slow my last trip to Quinte made up for the lack of fish

Looking forward to next season and the Hard water.

Here are some pics from this year.

Spring came and I bid my farewell to this boat which served me well for 4 yrs

An 18ft Lund SSV with Honda 50hp barebones Aluminium.

I traded her in and bought a new Lund 1660 Classic but I did keep my Honda from the SSV.

  4. Wow thats pretty cool :thumbsup_anim:

Like to see ya go fishing in a kilt

Coming from a scottish background I really enjoyed that and have always loved the music from the bag pipes.

My grandmother came from scotland to Canada in 1929 she is 88 yrs old today she is all there 100% and a true baseball fan.

She now lives in Northbay and lost her Scottish accent years ago.

Thanks Bly for posting that :thumbsup_anim:

  5. Excellent report Wayne looks like you boyz had some laughs.

Thanks for taking that pic of me not too often I get to see my boat up on plane.

As for the Darth Vader mask worth every penny it kept me warm and I did not feel any stinging rain

saturday when running flat out. When I was with Percher (I mean 34.72)the rain really hurts the face at 40 plusMPH.

Dano(Buddy Holly :whistling: ) you sleep too much .Terry congrats no stinking sheepy this year.2 of them found there way into my boat.

Gettin up early does pay off :thumbsup_anim:

  6. Good to see you reporting Dan why is it the fish look so big in your arms and so little in Brian's arms

your both close in size eh :whistling:

Nice pics Dan I am glad you have a bigger boat now so you can take your 2 body guards fishing with you.

    :clapping::canadian:

Is it really all over now.

So sad I just took everthing out of the boat tonight she will be going for winter storage :sleeping_02: this week

    :(

  7. Great report Mike. Glad you had a good (and safe) trip. You have some nice fish there. I know that sheepies are not what you were after but they still are a lot of fun to catch aren't they?

    Thanks for sharing.

Yes Roy they do give quite the tug and run they just look so ugly and smell like dirty socks.

Sometimes when the fishing is slow it gets the blood pumping that is good on a cold November day.

Well thanks for the kind words folks.

  8. Way to go Mike! Sorry we didn't get a chance to cross paths with you. I was trying to watch out for you guys, and I am sure we past each other on the water. We ( Skeeter and myself ) did not have as good of luck as you guys, but we did manage to pick up a couple -the small one was just over 2 lbs ( but really fat ) and the larger one was 6.6 lbs.

    Don

Hey Don I looked for you guys Skeeter sent me a pic of his new boat but I could not spot you.

I threw off quite a few people saturday I opted for my black Mustang jacket and full rain gear.

    No big bird suit.

BTW congrats on getting rid of the three year curse the skunk is finally gone . I was skunked last year so it felt good to land some decent fish..Have not had a double digit since 2006 :clapping::thumbsup_anim::Gonefishing:
