  1. Afternoon everyone!!

I am planning my annual spring vacation and am debating between freshwater fishing in Florida and Hilton Head Island for some deep sea ocean fishing, maybe midnight shark fishing.. I have fished Hilton Head Island many times but have never fished freshwater in Florida. I would love to try it. Anyone here have any experiences and/or suggestions they would like to share?

    Cheers,

    James

  2. Apparently, roughly 40% of those wrongfully convicted and incarcerated receive compensation, and there are a number of states that over NO compensation; Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming. Of the remaining states, some have imposed limits and caps to the compensation one can claim.

This compensation is currently taxable. A bill was introduced in 2012 to protect the compensation of those wrongfully convicted, but still has not passed.

I recall when the new District Attorney was elected in Texas and reviewed the last 38-40 cases involving the death penalty using DNA and it was discovered that roughly 40% of these inmates were actually innocent. These individuals spent either significant time in prison and their cases overturned and a number were executed as they were not exonerated until after.

  3. I was looking up where Kessel was in points and laughed when I saw Ovechkin wedged in between Getzlaf at 3rd and Perry at 5th, both of those guys with +28 and +26 ratings, while Ovie has an impressive -26 haha. Given +/- stats can be misleading, but at 67 points with a -26 is just terrible.. its like Lecavalier in 08', he had 92 points but was a -17.. defensive liabilities (although 32 of Ovie points came on the PP, which are not included, so at even strength - maybe a SHP or 2, 34 points and a -26... yuck)

  4. For a over rated player who doesn't put up a point a game? He fits in perfectly.

    Vanek is definitely over rated.

I guess you're referring to Subban and Price? The way everyone hates on them in TO its hard to understand how they are considered over rated. Sounds more like a bias opinion of a lengthy rivalry. (Don't get me wrong, I don't think they're God's gift to hockey, but they're not awful by any stretch)

and as my duty to partake in the rivalry, I will post this link as a reminder...
