  1. sounds good johnnyb

thanks for the info. im not to far from deebank, in fact cutler rd is just off of northshore rd, i drive past the dee on the way into the cottage every time.

the fishing can be tough on 3mile, however i have had the odd fantastic day out there. next time your heading up let me know and maybe we can meet up.

i plan on walking out slowly and drilling some holes often on the way out just out front of the cottage. i will let you know how it is after the weekend.

    cheers

  2. my cottage is up on 3 mile, the one near utterson. i generally get up there quite a bit in the winter

is this the same 3 mile you guys are talking about, i know there are a few.

any more info on the ice conditions up there?? i am heading up this weekend and was hoping to get out there. any info is much apreciated.

where abouts on 3 mile are you guys?? im just off cutler rd. not too far from inverness.

  3. i have the hd pvr and i can watch and record shows on the 1 reciever..

i believe it has 2 recievers built into the one... for instance i can record on TV2 and watch on TV1 or vice versa.

i also recieved 300 programming credit when i purchased my hd pvr. ended up spending around 250 or 299 i cant remember.

i also really enjoy the bell service and all the programming.. between wild tv and wfn there is a shitload of hunting and fishing shows and the hd channels are not bad either.

i also learned that you can put in an external hard drive and save any shows you want on that... so pretty much you can save every episode of your favorite shows for good and watch them anytime.

the digital audio works well too on my surround sound. and the hd is picture perfect.

  4. i use the shimano compre 7'6 Heavy rod and i really enjoy it.

the reel i use is the abu record 61 reel..

65 pound test as i generally only fish scugog for muskie and i doubt i will ever land something even close to 50. soo i figure 65 will be good enough.

in the mid summer i use a 7 foot extra heavy so i can make sure i can pull the big boys out from the weeds. much harder to cast with this rod though.

    cheers
