  1. My neighbour had/has kidney stones.

Passed one recently and has it in a zip lock bag.

I find it a bit weird, but hey, I'm sure lots of stuff I do

    seems weird to him.

He's in the asphalt paving business. Working with shovels and rakes or in the bobcat

all day for 10 to 12 hours. I can just imagine the pain he was feeling. He had to take

a couple of days off too.

Luckily, I've never had to go through it.

All I know is you drink lots of fluids to help the stone

    pass through your urinary system.

  2. I heard some people did well on the dipseys last weekend at Quinte.

Most people were using deep diving baits on the planer boards, downriggers or even flatlining

    with long leads.

If you try the dipseys, the lead from the dipsey to the lure should be no longer than

the length of the rod you are using. Much easier to get lures/fish to the boat.

    Good luck !!!

  3. I disagree. I think next season someone will post about a big musky they got at the islands. While pike fishing in whitby I came across a 45 inch (measured) dead musky on the shore. The fish had not been dead long and im sure it was because some angle caught and mistreated it. If theres musky at whitby harbour then there definatly is at the islands!

I have an uncle who works at the Pickering nuclear station.

He says when they bring up the grill for the water intake to clean it,

it's full of fish. Some very large fish of multiple species, skis included.

I can see a few skis cruising the islands. They have food and habitat.

Not as plentiful as pike, but certainly can live in the same waters as their toothy,

    speckled, green cousins

  4. WOW !!!

    Just read this post.

Didn't realize I caused such a stir by fishing solo.

Not the first time I've done it and probably not the last either.

Yes, blackfish88 slept in Sun. morning. Power/alarm problems. It happens.

I called him to see how long he would be to get to the lake. I actually woke him up when I called and he told me to head out fishing without him because he didn't want to hold me up any longer.

Wayne, I guess you didn't know I spoke to him after leaving your cabin.

It was actually 8:30am when I was at your place because I left and called him at 8:45am from

Tip of the Bay parking lot. You're right about it being easier to fish with a partner in those conditions though.

I didn't want to impose on anyone for a spot to sleep. Could have slept on someone's floor, but I survived

just fine in the van. Started her up a couple of times to warm up the interior through the night.

That spicy food I ate for dinner kept waking me up, hence the potty trip to your place in the am. :o:D

Everyone in the same place is the best scenario, but it isn't easy with such a large group.

    Let's all play nice.

  5. I'll be leaving Friday night or early Saturday morning from Mississauga, making a stop in west end Toronto to pick up the boat. Driving down solo.

Ya, I know. Waited too long, last minute, no space, all booked, ..... :blahblah1:

Guess I may have to sacrifice my body in the name of fishing

and shack up with the local cougars if I can't get a floor spot. :D

Ahhh, life is good in Canada....no ???

I'm waiting to hear back from blackfish88, so I'll have room for 1 or possibly 2 in the boat.

Let me know if anyone needs a boat to fish in.

Anyone want to fish with the best walleye guide in the world ?

Well, he's probably busy, so you can fish with me instead. :worthy:

By the way, I like the look of the new site.

    Nice job guys.
