  1. Been there done that but didnt realize until my float, line, leader, and roe bag were out of sight!
  2. Believe it or not I pulled this monster out of Lake Aquatain in Mississauga this morning @ around 11 am. I thought there were only shopping carts, bicycles, and catfish in there.
  3. I went to crappy tire yesterday looking for tires. I told the manager what I was doing and he said it was illegal to put passenger car tires on a trailer. I dont know whether to believe him or not. He also said when importing a trailer from another country (ie. US) trailer only tires must be installed to pass inspection. If I get a chance today I will contact MTO to verify.
  4. Thanks again for the great info. Net weight of boat is 1995lbs. I'm guessing 300lbs for engine. Now, to find some tires... Cheers
  5. Thanks for the info. Now I have to figure out the weight of the boat and trailer.
  6. Does anyone know what tires I can replace the F78-14's with on my trailer? I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put passenger car radials on there or not. Also if I can use radials, I dont know the load range I would need. The trailer is a 1984 Magic single axle and the boat is a 19.5 ft bayliner bowrider with a 125hp engine. Im not sure of the weight. Any suggestions? Thanks Dave
  7. I tried to post a pic of water conditions as of Sunday but I dont know how to make it small enough! Sorry!
  8. Thanks for your help guys. Makes a lot of sense what you say. I'll go to BPS and see what thy recommend for an allaround general set up. I see so many different lengths and weights and I'm not sure what each one is for. The reel(Citica E) only comes in left or right retrieve with no other options so I figured I couldnt screw that up.
  9. Hi all. New to the forums and like what I see. I'm planning to buy a my first baitcast rod/reel. Not sure exactly what to buy. From what I've read here the Shimano Citica E reel gets a good name and is in my price range. Not too sure what to buy for a rod though (lenght/weight). I fish for pretty much anything that bites (bass/pike/trout/walleye). Any recommendations? Would like to keep combo in $200 range. Bass Pro shows the reel for $119.95 hopefully Canadian. Thanks in advance for any help. Dave
