Well i have fished muskies on many lakes. home port is l st clair. caught my first skie in 1956.ran a charter service and due to age/injuries we build musky lures. the LARGESTissue is enviroment,and the great lakes as a sewer system.we daily deal with invasives..if guys will deal with the obvious then calling out styles and methods that are completly legal..yes i have fished the st lawerence,ottawa river everywhere b,bay kawarthas etc. its about enviroment and other issues..why is st clair not destroyed. michigan runs 3 rods,ont 2 rods.and yet mnr states we have a musky imbalance of too many fish.,per acre. do your home work guys.

we all learn as we get life experiences. many things dont matter after we live several decades. if we are fortunate..i am sure some folks will agree.

sad to have long line trolling a bullcrap issue. blaming use of planer boards. obviously that statement is biased and un-educated. lets just blame using hooks and boats with motors.yes theres been issues but to construe tactics,lets just ban fishfinders also.

hi i am on l.st cl. been building baits for a bit. clear water naturals. algae green run frog patterns. belly colors very important..in fall we run larger baits .in off waters bright colors. .action on baits is first priority.then color..contrast is the key. 

kwikfish. that's a memory. built 1 mile from my house. .excellent slo troll on walleyes. actually a forgotten fish catcher.

spiel is an artist. also have seen he,s a good chef also.

hi try east of belle river. bucktails from handlebarz baits are working well. try trolling them..run a 5 ox weight inline ahead a 5ft leader troll at 3.9-4.1. for cranks run them up hi in the top 7ft at same speeds. good luck be safe..

st clair mid lake temps are still fine. deeper water outflow from st clair river, long run from shore.watch the sky.

had a 65 Plymouth fury 2- 313redram motor. posi .a tank. never had an issue pulling. also had 83 k-wagon 2.6 motor . pulled a 21 ft senter consol to marina. was a don't hit the brakes. top speed 42mph.. changed over to cummins diesels. could pull a house..that one we had a q10ft slide in camper and pulled a 23ft trphy. weighed 20,000 53ft long and was 6 inches over in width..4 wheel trailer surge brakes. was a dream on hi-way.a gentle hobby horse ride lol..maybe im a redneck.

dad had a1953 Plymouth . slippery ramp. came back from getting bait. he was standing on the roof with an oar. was not happy. sold it after we dried it out lol.

shad migre from l.huron into l.st clair every fall ,migration starts early august with small.as waters cool bigger shad arrive. every year. in spring die-off by millions leave a big stink.
