Howdy, When are the sportsman shows happening, and where? I haven't had any luck finding info on upcoming fishing/ sportsman shows in southern Ontario. Does anybody know where to find out dates times, locations? I haven't been to one since I was a kid, and the ones out west are just not the same. Thanks, Mahs Fett

Greetings all, I am looking forward to hit the amazing waters in the Bay of Quinte, Quinte Isle, and West Lake this fall. I am lucky enough to be able to finally get out and fish there after being in B.C. for the last 15 years. It will be so nice to land some of those golden monsters. I think things have changed a bit since I was there last, so I may need some tips and advice... Have any of you had any luck yet this month? Please reply and post up some pics. Greetings all, ]I just moved back from Vancouver and am looking forward to fishing Ontario waters again... I got so tired of cut throat trout fishing, I was relieved to catch a little pike... I am living outside of Waterloo and have had poor luck finding fishing spots so far... I am guessing along the Grand River, but where can I park my car and head out for a fish before work some morning? I have not fished rivers here in over a decade... I have read that floating bait, spinners, crankbaits, etc., work... Any tips? I saw a lake on the drive to St. Jacobs, just north of town, and Puslinch Lake... Any info on these water sheds? I know from experience and sneaking onto farmers fields as a kid, PRIVATE property is PRIVATE property... Common sense dictates to ask permission... Every time I was pleasant and respectful asking the landowner, I was granted permission... Sometimes signing a document stating that the owner is not liable for any harm that may come to those on his or her property... I would like to know some more about this tho... I have seen some ponds way out in the middle of fields, with no farms or houses in site... Can you you go into a field and fish in a small lake or pond? If there are no signs, (private property) I would guess it would be allowed, no? Cheers, Mahs
