Also looking for a trip for this summer within driving distance of Peterborough ON. Would like to take my own boat (16' LUND 40hp), but would consider renting... Looking for a remote lake with NO Seadoos, water-skiers or cottagers...just fellow anglers. Main fishing species, Largemouth/Smallmouth Bass, Walleye. Will take big NP, Muskies. Recommendations appreciated... Thanks!

Can anyone share waypoints for Bass on Rice Lake? Maybe through Garmin Active Captain? Not a tournament fishermen, just recreational catch/release and want to take my daughter out and catch some Bass... Thanks!

Garnet, if you are having luck on Otonabee and in Rice, then you are doing better than most anglers I have run into there...2-3 if you're lucky. I have been using Whopper Ploppers, frogs, chatterbaits with best luck on WP's on the river just before the main lake and near the mouth of the river in the lake. If you are having good luck with different baits and areas, please share... Thanks
