  1. Saturday I got around a dozen largies in Grass on saturday with the biggest being 15". Went 1 for 3 on muskie in the same spot. All on frogs over pads.

Sunday was about the same on Kash with no muskies but a couple decent smallies in the 17" range. Definitely no tourney winners.

  2. I could see how someone not used to catching pike or muskie from a kayak might be overwhelmed, good job on helping.

There's two guys from Ottawa, brothers that catch more musky than anyone else I see. Quite a few 48-52" anually. They do it all from kayaks and have been for some time.

Wasn't the musky world championship won by a guy in a kayak last year?

Just givin ya a hard time Pete about beatin down the yak nation. :)

    Nice fishin btw.

  3. I'll be there on the weekend too Darren. Staying at Kashaga Lodge.

I can give you some bass info but all my muskie catches have been incidental.

Fish the weedy bays close to deeper water. You can get hydro maps at the Minden MNR.

Good luck and say hi if you see me. Will be in kayaks.

  4. Been using them since they first came out. Exposed em to winter in garage and summer in high heat with no big changes to them. I think the cold temps do cause em ripple a bit though.

Bass and trout love em. I like them because they stay postioned on the hook well for casting and dont tear easy. Have caught as many as three fish off the same one. Do that with ur live minners.

  5. Do many people use DS for walleye with success or is it mainly a smallie thing? What would you have to change about it to fish eyes, if anything?

Couple guys say leeches but do walleye plastics work too?

Sorry Mercman but it got me thinking.

  6. The only thing hot about the credit will be the heads of the anglers as they jockey for position.

There's no point or place for posts like this on public forums.

GTA waters are busy enough without directing the masses to them. Guess that's why you never see my azz at any of em.

  7. Thanks Torco, we do have some pretty fantastic trips lined up for 2012 too and i will get the details up on the website soon. Thanks for keeping us in mind.

Ryan, good to see you out taking advantage of the Niagara fishery! See you at the spring shows.

  8. From a boat with Paul Castellano at this time of year is a very good choice. They have been doing quite well recently too.

Not that I wouldn't like the business but shore fishing once January hits can be spotty. Whirlpool has been very inconsistent lately due to dirty high water.

    Good luck!

  9. Fluoro lasts a very long time when not exposed to sunlight, nothing like mono at all. If you are breaking at the knot then you aren't wetting it enough when pulling it tight. It burns easily from the knot friction and gets very brittle. If you are breaking away from the knot then it's just garbage line.

nice to see you got some action with the new set up.
