Does Ontario have a hunting forum? I am trying to find an outfitter to use for my 1st trip hunting trip to the provinces. Thank you!

Distance really isn't a problem.....our biggest concern is price. We are two school teachers on a budget...looking to make our first trip to Canada for pike. I do like the look of Little Vermilion.

Awesome...thanks guys. Yeah we are campers who prefer the roughing it version. Don't mind driving at all....especially if you have a good shot at a 40 plus.

Hey guys, I ran across this lake on a fishing show....looks like a pretty good lake with very reasonable lodging. Does anyone have any experience on the lake? I think it's just north of PERRAULT FALLS,ONTARIO

I actually live in Texas and was hoping to hunt either back home in Iowa or in Canada next year. I am really not interested in guided hunts...i'm more of a do-it-myselfer I certainly don't mind doing a little friendly knocking because that's how I gained access when I lived in Iowa...but I'm not sure I'd have time for that. Maybe the first year could be a scouting year....I guess. I'd have a tough time convincing my wife of that though! LOL I'll check out that website and see where I it takes me. Thank you!

I was thinking about booking a fly-in trip to an outpost from Northwest Flying Inc. They are based out of Nestor Falls and will fly you in to an outpost lake at half the cost of most outfitters. Half the cost because you are sleeping in a tent. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. My uncle passed about away about 2 months ago...my aunt passed away about a week before him and my Grandpa a week before my aunt. After my uncle passed away, and our family had time to breathe...my aunt decided I should have my uncle's smoker. I'm not sure what kind it is....i'm sure it's nice because he never did anything half-way....always the best and top of the line I just hope I can take good care of his smoker and make some good meals. Where is Kesagami? Any specific lakes in NW? Lakes with camping options are a bonus....I don't want anything fancy...just an opportunity to catch a pig. I've wanted to fish Canada for so long now....I just turned 30...so I think it's about time I actually make this trip!

If I were to pick one lake in Ontario where a guy has a great shot at a 20 pound plus northern pike where could I go?.....numbers are always nice but I was hoping to catch a big'un without paying an arm and a leg. Any thoughts?

I think it might be Clearwater West. Has anyone fished this lake? I think it's about 30 minutes or so to the northwest of Antikokan.

I don't even have that.....sorry. I just looked on mapquest and the only big lake I see near Atikokan is Marmion Lake. I apologize for being so vague....I wish I had more information.

I really wish I had more info....I think it's primarily known as a lake trout lake. From looking at a map I was thinking it was Marmion Lake....would that be right? I'm basically looking for a lake that I can do some tip up fishing for trophy northerns.....is there a better choice that anyone may know of?

Hello guys, I am trying to find the name of a lake for a northern pike ice fishing trip. I know the lake is near Atikokan, Ontario. I also know the lake is deep and clear, with big shallow bays connected to the main lake basin. I know there are lake trout and northern pike but not sure of other species. Can anyone help?
