I have to agree with River Monsters
but if we are talking fishing show where i might actually catch the species being fished for I'd have to sat Facts of Fishing, you got to love Dave Mercer commentary while he fishes.

Very much considering a 'declined ballot', so ya, maybe the campaigns helped me choose none of the above.
that is what I'm leaning towards right now

what a joke, second time he has been busted with no license and only a $3700.00 fine
Time to set a example and fine him 100k
I bet you the same $3700.00 he will be out again shortly fishing as he has no respect. Also why do they not give his name and a picture so it can be posted at every boat launch and bait shop
well according to the article he also was handed a 5 year suspension.
I agree he has had multiple issues in the past, people should be aware of his habits

This was previously posted.Look down a few threads
Ok well i missed that, didn't look hard enough to see if it was a thread or not

Saw this one the Mississauga news website today.
A Mississauga man was fined for poaching cisco on Simcoe
"A Mississauga man netted $3,700 in fines and had his fishing licence suspended for five years after multiple fishing violations on Lake Simcoe"
here is a link for the article

I was out just last weekend on my kayak for the kiwanis walleye world derby and yes the water was chilly.
I do most my fishing from it and always make sure the conditions are safe. I also know the size of this lake as I would always pass it going to visit family in Quebec. Still sad news and my thoughts will be with them and their families the next time on out on my kayak
-
This is the one I was talking about.
This is similar to what i have, I however have the Moken Feel Free light and i love it
-
I'll be out on my yak this weekend for the big derby in Quinte, but any other time just give me a week heads up because i keep mine at the cottage

A special thanks to FisherPete for offering up a 3 trips in the Tyler Auction. Chris K, Jeremy84 and I were able to bid and win on one of the trips.
Well we finally cashed in on the trip yesterday (April 27). We met up with FisherPete just after 7:00 am and we were off for the day. The weather was not looking the best with an overcast sky, when the weatherman was calling for 10-15 degrees. However we’re all happy the forecast ended up being right.
After getting to our first spot it did not take long before we had the first fish in the boat. It was my first ever Channel Catfish. It was not long after that we all had a kitty in the boat.
Once the action died down we decided to move to a new spot and Pete told us that last week the heaviest fish came out of the spot for the tournament he was in. We were having a bit of action. Pete took a step off the boat for a second on the bank we were beached on, and his rod does a jump and almost gets pulled into the water. I managed to grab the rod right before it happened and after what seemed like forever I pulled in this pig which was 29" and was 12 3/4 lbs
It was a great day out with some fellow board members and also fun to fish with FisherPete for the first time, after meeting him a handful of times before the trip. I would consider bidding on the trip again next year if it was offered again because of how good of a time I had. The only down side for me was not taking up Pete on his offer on sun screen and now I’m sporting a nice sun burn.

I heard Bay of Quinte is open West of Bellville.
Yup I can confirm that, Presqu'ile Bay (Brighton) has open water all the way across the bay

Saw this in the local Belleville news, I remember reading a story of a missing boater last October well this is not the best news but here is the article.
"Police have confirmed a body found Wednesday on West Lake is that of missing boater Gordon “Sandy” Rutherford of Wellington.
The body was found by another boater and police arrived at the scene at 4:37 p.m., Prince Edward OPP reported.
Rutherford, 54, disappeared while fishing on the lake in October.
Police said his death was not deemed suspcisious.
“The Rutherford family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all emergency personnel and volunteers who assisted in the search,” police stated in a news release."
