Nice fish! are spinners effective at this time of the year? I dont know how to drift yet

I am new to fishing, and i have been having a real hard time landing any chrome this month. Any advice as to where or how to find them?? also I am also using spinners since i do not have a long enough rod for drifting right now..

I had a feeling it would be a bad time, the nottawasaga looks like it rose over a foot!!!does anyone know of a website out there that post updates about water levels in rivers?

Has anyone been out to Beaver River in Thornbury since the enormous amount of rain we received??? With such a rise of water is it even fish-able right now?? Thanks for any input, Its a far drive for me just wanna make sure im not wasting my time.

I was up north on lake Waubeshene back in may or june (cant remember date) and caught three gar pike... it was insane the amount of gar pike i seen swimming around to top of the water, I spent probably about 6-7hrs trying to hunt them down lol . I went back to the exact spot i was seeing them in july but for some reason i didnt see anymore.. . im guessing the best time of the year to find them would be around early summer because they seemed very active at that time..

what about pickerel or pike? any of them suckers in rock lake?? thanks for the info

I heard the rapids were pretty cool.. Is the easiest way to get there by portage??

Hey everyone.. I am going camping with the family at Algonquin Park Rock Lake campground Aug 13-17. Me and my son are going to spend a few days out in a canoe doing some fishing at Rock Lake, and possibly Coon Lake. Im just looking for a little advise or insight about fishing in the area, since i have never been there. I am kind of a fishing newb, only been at it for about two years and we are not too particularly picky as to what we catch.. Anybody willing to give me and my son some tips about what kind of fish to expect here. any fishing tips or hints would also be helpful aswell! Thanks all!
