  1. Last Wed goose hunting and fishing the lower Grand ...wish i had the whole week to hunt lots of geese around .

    but i guess i still got to get out and have fun..

  2. Well i would like to Thank all that joined in the tourney and thanks all our sponsors for maken this Fund raiser a great day .

    fishing was tough today with NE winds but there was some nice fish weighed in by a few fellows ..Jamze Houtby was the top winner today taken

    1st & 2nd cash Prize with a 3.92 lbs & a 4.68 winning $585 . Guy Chow 3rd place 2.13 $120 cash ..Germy Crumb with the Biggest Crappie .32 won a $25 Gift Certificate.

    Back at the Dunville Hunters & Anglers Club were the prize and Fund Rasier took place we raised $614 for Sick Kids Hospital & $120 for the Dunnville Hunters & Angler Walleye Stocking .we also handed out some great prizes Guy Chow walked away with a Eskimo Fish Hut .

    Bowen Sandercock walked away with a nice Strike Master Ice Auger and Santios Amalif with a nice VHF Radio as also many other pepole won some great prizes...

    Next year i will be planning this derby months ahead of time trying to make this Fund Raiser much more bigger ICE OR NO ICE ...thanks again to all our supporter's and thanks Dunnville Hunters & Aglers for letting us use your Hall for this event ..

Cool glad this isgoing to pass the law ..nothing worse sitting duck or goose hunting and seeing more of these CRAP birds flying around eating fish all day ..they even spooke ducks away ...i cant see using a riffle around water you just never no where the bullet may end up ...i no i dont want a whole in my boat ...but it would be awesome out trolling for Kings blastin these dam things outa the sky while im fishing ..12 gauge on side Yahoo..

  4. Headed up to pefferlaw Wed to pick up bait thought i would stop a fish with Steve's Fish Huts for the day while i was there ..perch joined me for the ride .

    fishing was kinda slow in the 1st hut but i picked up moved over to another hut and it was none stop action lots of small perch but we still managed a limit between both of us ..i should have went fishing for whiteys and lakers all guys in the bus with us got there limits

    of whiteys and lakers by 9:30 am ..if anybody is intrested in getting whitefish or lakers get up there now fishing is hot right now ..

Guys & Gals the ice is fine i have lived here all my life and i no the grand like the back of my hand ..i would never plan a derby if the ice wasn't safe enought to fish ...i ckecked the ice this am looks fine with over 10 to 13" of ice from the dam to the mouth of lake erie ...i even checked all the side creeks that flow into the river no water all ice ..when i see the creeks flowing then i no it can change fast ..but there is many cold nights ahead to tighen all the melted snow up into more ice ..if there is a big change witch i no is not going to happen i will post stay off the ice ..My Tourney is still a go ...hope to see you all out Sunday to help raise money for the Sick Kids Hospital ..Fishmaster Bait & Tackle

  6. Headed up to Pefferlaw yesterday to Steve's Fish Huts for some perch hit the ice around 7:30 and it was non stop action all day

    Had my limit by Noonish all around 8 to 11"..i also released some in the 12 to 13" range must have caught over 300 for the day i did't even have time for a Brown Pop . ;)after fishing for the day headed to the Minnow Farm to load up on some Simcoe Minnows what a set up this guys has never seen so many minnows in a building ...if anybody is looking for a nice warm comfy hut for the family or friends with lots of action call Steve's Fish Huts Pefferlaw Lake Simcoe (705)426-7800
