  1. I've got the Eskimo FatFish 949. Love it. I was out almost a dozen times last season and a few were just me, a couple with a buddy, a couple with my daughter and even a trip with all three kids and wife. Fantastic hut. Lots of room, stable, easy to set up. At the fullest I had my family, chairs for all, 2 camp tables, heater. Left my two sleds and auger outside. All the other times I had all gear inside.

  2. Anybody been to the pier lately? It was recommended that I give it a try for walleye and to go late in the evening. Just wondering if the bite was on and perhaps what I should bring for gear. Having never been is the pier lit up or should I be bringing light with me?

  3. Do walleye ever come into the marina? Was at the perch derby on Saturday and saw a few guys pull a couple perch (the bite just not on) I believe a bass or two and there were some nice size browns swimming around. Just thought I'd ask and see if anyone has some idea.

  4. Had a good time this morning. The bite was slow (for me nothing) but that's okay. Got to meet some fellow fishermen and OFNers. The club sounds like a good bunch and I think I'll be going to the next meeting to check it out further. Thanks to the members of this forum for posting about this event that I would not have know about otherwise. Keep the info coming. If I could ask one thing. When posting about any general fishing spot (50 point marina in this case or a general area like Bayfront park etc) could you include the lure or bait presentation that has been working for you there. Each of us have our own rhythm so I dont think you'll lose any fish. Just interesting to know what has been working so we can either try something new or go back to something we have overlooked. As a new fisherman in like a sponge and enjoy soaking up all the tips I can get. Cheers

  5. Hey folks. Just heard about this derby this morning. Glad to hear that perch are in the marina. Looking forward to going. My daughter(6) and I just starting fishing this summer so any chance to be with other people fishing just encourages her more. Beware, she might ask to see maybe even hold or kiss any fish that are caught. Silly kid.

  6. With three kids, two of whom want to fish (little guy is not yet two) it would be nice to hear from someone that it's worth the drive. I went a few weeks ago by myself and was the only guy standing on the pier with a rod. Felt and looked pretty stupid. My oldest daughter says its more fun fishing when you're catching fish. I've had plenty of lone casting practice.
