I still find it hard to believe you can't tighten the steering up a bit
even if it's by moving the shaft bearings in tighter or moving the rack over tighter on the shaft gear
I believe it is the pro series motorguide...maybe on the foot pedal I can tighten it down some how.
There is no adjustment on the MotorGuide trolling motors other than on the higher end models. If you are okay with the 55 lbs thrust, you may consider getting one of these http://www.trollperfect.com/Pages/default.aspx to get rid of the play in the foot pedal and enable you to track straight.

One thing I am not use on (as I have never actually seen one on a boat before) is how they attach. I see from pics that they are a T shape to fit in the track, but how do they fit in and how do they stay in place?
Edit: Just realized date on original post

Very nice. Congrats!

Yup, that's an even better idea, Brian. I hadn't considered that.

My boat performs awesome... I'm fully satisfied with current performance...
The way I was looking at it was if I can avoid drilling any extra holes in my floor.... And not sacrifice space... That would be my best route... That's just my thought process...
Have you considered getting some kind of offset pedestal or bracket made that will give you the few inches that you need? Just a thought...
Probably would be a cheaper option.

They don't swim straight and constantly twist and turn (roll upsidedown). I read similar reviews so I know I'm not alone.
When you rig these soft plastic frogs "weightless" you have to make sure the hook point is dead center. This will ensure that they run straight. I like the Gambler Cane Toad.

What? No master-bedroom closet?
I guess the garage would be the next best place...Congrats on the new house.

Nothing better then fishing with your kid(s). It won't be long until he starts out-fishing the "old man"...
Is that a spidercast pro baitcaster in the background (Mitchell reel endorsed by Roland Martin)? That is a blast from the past...

Line dancer...http://www.amazon.com/LINEDANCER-FISHING-TOOL-INCREASES-ACTION/dp/B00333E5UC
Have never used it, just remember getting a chuckle out of it.

If you are going to install an HDS 10 on it and want it not to budge, I would have a look at the following mounts:
Cisco (mentioned above) http://www.ciscofishingsystemsltd.com/shop/sure-lok-electronics-mount-5225
RMC mounts http://radioworld.ca/electronics-mount-c-3_769.html?filter_id=233
Here is a video for some mounting possibilities,

Irrelevant. Dangerous driving charge.

The police won't be able to charge you under the Highway Traffic Act (speeding) but if you are putting people in danger, you can get charged under the Criminal Code (dangerous driving).

Looks good. Best of luck!
Just a quick point; I was looking at jigs 2-color and can't tell if it's $1.95 per jig or pack. Most jigs I buy are in packs of 10 or 25. So if it's per pack please indicate quantity. The site is nice and smooth...nice job.
If you scroll down, it will show the quantity under the heading "Product Description".
