It took me 3 days on Pigeon before I got one.....Tough lake lately. Gets fished hard.

If it was easy everybody would do it :)

Seme on the Ottawa for me fish or two every outing but you have to put the time in to it.

Feels like private river, didn't see boat for long time!

  2. You"ll do way better on the water then on the couch at home.

Just keep positive, get out there and get them.

Over the years seen it go both ways!

Will be fishing for them on the O.R. every day as well so if it makes you feel any better you won't be alone :)

    Good luck!

when i win the lottery, I honestly would switch from a hummimbird man right over to garmin, especially seeing that new trolling motor they brought out at icast.

Don't see any reason my self to upgrade, SI works perfect for what I do :)

And the new trolling motor better gets tested before I shell out that kind of money.

  4. There's a reason all helix units are being sold off at less than half. Even the new onyx units are junk. Same rule applies you get what you pay for. It's on clearance for a reason

I have a Lowrance Elite 7 chirp on the front of my boat. Also junk. Processor is so slow loses position at low speeds while navigating and take time to lock back in

They all work depends on your expectations. Down imaging for me is key.

Do you actually own Onix? Excellent units if properly installed and you learn how to use them :)

  5. Well folks, it was a hard decision but I had to decide and thanks to a few folks, I did end up looking at the Toyota line.

Toyota had been great for me with the Highlander so I did end up finding a mint condition 2011 that did not go on the road till January 2012 Toyota Tacoma, that was bought / leased and maintained and traded in also at the same dealer.

The truck already had a bed liner and I negotiated a hard folding cover which was installed just before I picked it up on Thursday and also scored a great price for the step ups which will be installed today.

Did I get everything that I was looking for, no I did not, but under the conditions did I get what I think was a very good deal, you bet I did and to boot if I really wanted everything I would have had to have spent at least 6 - 7k more pre tax and that just did not make sense to me at this time, my next post will be up shortly which should shed a bit more light.

Many thanks to one and all for your great help.

  6. So it's okay to do nothing and let 6-9 million people per year die, because it will be 44 years from now, and because you hate Wynne?

It's a good thing you don't run the government, it seems you're under the mistaken impression that this is an either/or scenario. There is enough money for all our needs if it is properly managed (which it currently is not).

Also, I find it interesting that you think we will be able to afford reduced wait times with millions more people needing treatment because we did nothing about air pollution. Can you explain the math on that one?

    Give your head a shake,

it is sad that people like you are actually running the government now. If you are in debt like this

    http://www.debtclock.ca/provincial-debtclocks/ontario/ontario-s-debt/

you can't afford to buy latest Tesla model car and SUHD TV because they are not reasonably priced yet. If you think that that would be leader ship, and great example for your kids that's just crazy.

You have take care of priorities first, buy reasonably priced, proven, and reliable, if you need to buy immediately at all.

Here is what the billions spent on new technology got you so far:

    http://www.ieso.ca/

And today is sunny and windy so this is the max you'll get out of it right now.

The estimated numbers you quote over and over (and conveniently omitting that this is world wide estimate over the next 44 years) can't be influenced by throwing money on the problem here in Ontario. In mean time people all over the world are dying from hunger, poverty, and disease. Every 15 seconds a child dies of hunger. Now count those kids over 44 years. This is actually something that can be influenced by Canadians.

BTW indoor pollution is just as big if not bigger problem then outdoor, especially here in Canada.

  7. Really? How many in Ontario and what is the cost here. Fearmongering with lame liberal analysts.

Not to mention that is worldwide estimate is over 44 years.

Spending on idiotic programs to feel good will end like this:

    https://www.thestar.com/news/queenspark/2015/12/02/ontario-consumers-likely-paying-billions-extra-for-hydro-one-decisions-auditor-general.html

In mean time people in Ontario can't find family doctors and waiting long times for surgery.

  8.

Lifeisfun, it is good that you finally got your denier website out of the closet. Nothing subtle about that website, it's so....FLASHY!!!!

    ......

To read the facts hurts eh?

I guess you don't subscribe to evidence based decision making after all

I'm surprised you don't throw in some racial slurs to push your point of view, that's what people without arguments usually do, or perhaps question someone else's religion is just first step? You may not agree with people like Einstein, Newton, Hawking and others but there is no reason to question and make fun of what they believe in.
