Looking for my first baitcaster any thoughts on the shimano citica with the bass pro xps extreme combo for 139.00 (front page of flyer) the rod is 6 foot is this rod too short I am six foot two I have been told to go for something bigger any Thoughts?

A friend and I planning to rent a boat on Thursday . I was just wondering what would be better this time of year Rice Lake or Lake Simcoe Heading out from Keswick , we ussually like to fish for pike or bass we have not done much Fall fishing and don't have alot of expieriece on a boat .where would the water be calmer this time of year ?and kind of baits and lures would work best ? Hi guys I think its time to add a second rod I currently have a ugly stick lite with a abu garcia 103 reel I was currently looking at the bps flyer and they have the bionic blade for 69 bucks and a browning citori spinning reel for 80 bucks I have only been fishing for a couple of years . I am trying to avoid duplication with the rod so i am looking for medium to heavy action . ...how is this real compare to a quantum or shimano in the same price range? thanks in advace
