Same guys! i guess we're both itching to get back up there, last year they came so early never got a chance, thought this year for sure now i guess we'll see!
Any of the superior guys out there know how far off the trout run is north of batchawana bay?, like to head up there for the 28th if conditions are right. Thanks
Had a great trip up to the superior tribs this spring, the water was high and the run was just starting this day we 3 to 4 inches of snow but the fishing was still "hot"
lucky strike halfwave in gold, 2 inch deadly!! canadian tire used to sell for 2 bucks but no more, only in the soo at the trading post but over 5 bucks!!
Hey Troutologist!! Looking at your pics i realized you were the other group fishing the river that day and what a day it was!! Snow all morning, fish all through the day and i couldn't feel my fingers or toes half the day!! We stayed till 4pm put 16 on the bank, all released! lost more than that especially at about 2 when a fresh run came up and it went heywire for about 20 min! Nice pics i'll post mine later!
I'm heading up to Montreal r. to fish steelhead in the streams to the north of that next wednesday, i'm a little nervous about the water conditions(too high), any reports of conditions would be muchly appreciated !!
