I have a $400 hut and a $100 sled with $120 in upgrades....also, my post states that I am looking to trade for or "towards". Not looking for a atraihht up trade for a new in box $1200 otter.  Lol.

Good luck man. I have had 3 family members survive in the past 2 years. Keeping her positive is half the battle.

For some guys it takes a few years and many many hours on the streams to master the art......don't give up on them, once you get the hang of it will be well worth it!

I've been looking at tablets for a few months now. My wife is not into computers, but says she'd love a tablet for reading, having recipes in the kitchen at her finger tips etc. Not into the 3G ones - just Wi-Fi. I'm not an Apple person and hate how they force you through iTunes for everything and don't give you a direct way to load stuff onto the tablet via a USB.

 

I've narrowed it down to the Motorola Xoom or the Samsung Galaxy. Xoom is $499 USD and the Galaxy is $599 USD for the 32gb versions. How much are they going for north of the border?

 

Does anyone have experience with either than can tell me how they differ and whether it's worth another $100 for the Galaxy over the Xoom?

Love the Galaxy. IMO the best system is Android....and they are only getting stronger!

I heard you can land sharks with a Voltaeus! (I love mine)

The Voltaeus is a great rod. Much better feel than an Ugly Stick IMO. They run about the same price too with the lifetime warranty. Haven't seen many around in the lighter models but being Shimano I am sure you can find them!

That is a beauty unit. I have been in many nice huts before but that one may take the cake!

Totally agree with this one. I basically use the same lines I do trout fishing in the winter when fishing outside a hut.

I love my Islanders. John Spahr also makes a nice reel...If you want a reel that you won't see on the streams often!

I have had most reels out there by shimano and Abu, including the two you are deciding between. To be honest, I love my Curado E7's, all 4 of them. They are my favourite baitcast reel to date. I even pick them up before my chronarchs. The Revo is a great reel 2 though. Just can't put my Curados down!

Hey matching your gear, colour wise, doesn't catch fish.

If you choose the Curado you would be helping the environment by going green!
