  1. Just got back from Red cedar lake. Fishing was very slow. Fished the mouth of the Martin river into Red cedar with negative results. Fished from 7am to 9pm every day taking a break in the afternoon. Only caught 4 pics, 1 small mouth and two pike. Other people at the camp were catching nothing. all pics came on a jig and gulp grubs(white). Weather was poor with rain every day.

  2. I have been fishing the park before it was stocked with browns. Worms and spinners work best. I have only seen one pike caught, but they are there. Big ones too!! Good luck and have fun.

    P.S

go early morning and late evening to avoid all the people tubing. Since the park started to run a bus through the park every 15 minutes its a pain in the ass.

  3. Was out at the mouth today, one word says it all "sucked" counted over 22 boats and only seen about 12 perch caught. I am sure more were caught. Spoke with a local and got the " should have been here yesterday speech" LOL. Oh well thats fishing, better then work.

  4. Hello everyone,

Thinking of taking my son out for some perch action. I just got my first boat so I don't know where to go? Dunnville, Port Dover, long Point, Port Bruce........The list can go on. Once I am there do I just drive out and drop a minnow or is there a common land mark at the above places that everyone knows about ie light house, a barn on shore.....? I am new to the perch thing(in a boat) so any advice would help. I am not asking for you hot spots just a place to start so I can do the work and find MY hot spots.

    Thanks

    Todd.

  5. Thanks guys, I have my own boat so that won't be an issue. We were gonna tent it but we wanted something dry if it rained. We are going to be fishing for the better part of the day so the cabins won't matter...unless they leak LOL. Like big guy said you only get what you pay for so we were not expecting 5 star camp, just 5 star fishing LOL. Thanks for all your help. What type of lures work best?

  7. Hello everyone,

we are planning a fishing trip to the North in the end of June and I was looking for suggestions on where to go. I want to fish for walleye pike and bass. We will have a 16 foot boat and are willing to drive max 12 hours from Toronto. Any suggestions of lodges or resorts

  8. Hello all,

I have been a long time viewer posted a few questions with great answers. I have a few more questions I hope someone can help me with. I just got a used boat and I am in the process of getting it set up for some great lake fishing. I don't have to much knowledge on the great lakes. I am looking into taking the boaters course( I already have my card) for safety reasons. Here is where I need some help. What wind is the best(safest) for the different lakes, Huron, Erie and Ontario. What wind do you just stay home. Secondly where are some common launching spots on Lake Ontario( never fished Ontario from a boat) Any advice and knowledge you can give me will greatly help me with this new and exciting adventure.

    Thanks,

    Todd. :thumbsup_anim:

  9. I was at Bass pro today and I was looking at a plastic bait kit. You know all different colors of grubs and worms. It got me thinking....Do the grubs dry up if they are taken out of the bag they came in and placed in a tackle box ?
