  1. spray it with cooking spray...if you are doing fish directly on the grill, also works pretty good if you season it up..and spray one sid eof the fish with cooking spray, put that side on the grill, spray the other side before you flip it

  2. right on guys, that's why when people on these here interweb sites all look around at the posts and then try and hound you for all your fishing holes on thier 1st post...I come back with things like......read back in the forum, you will soon find that the guys who are going out there, having a blast and catching a load of fish, put in thier time, do thier homework, and get out there and catch them :worthy::Gonefishing:

  3. The extinguisher that came with my Lund didn't last two summers. A observant , and friendly ,OPP officer noticed it when he stopped us on the lake one day . B)

I have heard that when they are mounted horizontaly ( like mine) it can shorten the life .

    TB

here is a question then.....did you get written up for it..if so, do you have a built in gas tank?...if not it is not manditory, although a smart idea to have one aboard :Gonefishing:

  4. my old 12 footer pushed along pretty good with my 9.9 on it...I since retired the boat due to issues with the transom..(2 small cracks at the top where the motor goes....now my kids use it for a row boat and I run the 9.9 on my 14 footer.

Your 12 may say it's rated for a 15, but I think that's a little pushing it for a 12 footer, I seen a guy 2 summers ago with a 12 and a 15 on it, he was trying out the motor....he dug a small wave and got thrown from the boat..the boat was then stuck in WOT doing a circle almost running him over, all he could do was grab onto the boat so it wouldn't hit him, and hold on while it went in circles all over the place..he managed to pull the gas line off the tank and had to hold on until it ran out of gas....luckily in the end he came out of it with only a sore arm

it was a good deep 12 footer, the 15 was too much motor for the boat.

  5. I hear ya on that one!!!

beautiful, I been outside puttering too, had to change a rim/tire on my boat trailer, now I am going to do some spring cleaning in the boat from all the steelhead slime in it, too cold to clean it up the last couple months when I get home after fishing

Then it's time to give all the screws, nuts and bolts the once over and see what needs to be tightened up ect, and she is good to go fishin again ..maybe even tommorrow :Gonefishing:

  6. sure , i give a last second invite and get takin to school that day lol! At least i got a mercy fish at the end of the day haha! i dont mind being the camera man every once in a while good going jack ! I did a count today and there has been 120 steelies in my boat this season ! not to shabby ! Glad it worked out for us that day ! Next time your the camera man !

I will gladly be the camera man any day..same as in my boat, I like to catch them, but I am just as happy to see everyone one else get them too...my boat has seen some pretty good numbers this season too!!!!!

I am changing my tire on my trailer today then I am good to go pending the wife's schedule this week :Gonefishing:

  7. It wouldn't be a photo of Jack without a smoke in his mouth LOL way to go Jack! I,m ready to learn how to catch them bad boyz anytime!!Hint ,hint!!!

I will try and get you out really soon man!!!

And Cliff, yepper as for the last minute invite to pop on my buddy's boat, I was happy to take it, haven't been able to get mine out for like 2 weeks, our van was in the shop cuz someone decided they wanted to crash into my wife and pay for some body work on my van  and I been waiting for a nice day to change one of my rims and tires on my boat trailer, last time out I got a ding in a rim and now it has a slow leak :dunno:

  8. I don't think he is. I believe he's talking about the Lake Ontario and Erie tribs south of the border.

I wouldn't say he was knocking the Niagara Fishery...when you catch a 5 lber one drift and a 12 lber the next, they aren't cookie cutters

it's a diverse mix of a couple strains of fish..been getting lots of big fin clipped stockers thuogh...good year for it from all the stocking 4-5 years ago..thanks to the US side :Gonefishing:

  9. good job man,you would be surprizes how much angler input helps the MNR decide some factors attributing to the regs...I am involved in a walleye stocking program every spring with the MNR and as a direct result a couple people I know helped change the regs on "inland" pike fishing around here to help lessen the impact on the walleye spawn since pike was open at the same time as walleye closure in the same areas and spawning gorunds...it was then decided that pike would be closed at the same time as walleye for FMZ 16 when the 2008 regs came out :Gonefishing:

  10. did the first three come on that one cigarette Jack? :D

    Nice job!

no but the middle 2 did  , started the drift, I got one, we did the CPR,I was manning the electric motor for my buddy, so after I got the boat straightened out again and put my line back in because we still had about 1/2 the drift left we could fish, then I got the other one. :Gonefishing:

It started off a little slow becasue of the muddy conditions, but once we threw a pattern on the fish we had some decent action for a while, my buddy lost 2 that where well into the teens

I didn't throw a measurement on the fish although it was longer than the one I have entered for Team#1, we where in my buddy's small boat, I set out to do some shore trashin and got an invite to hop aboard so there was 3 of us in the boat, not much room for getting all fancy with tapemeasures and such

I will get a bigger one by the end of the tourney anyways B)

  11. Set out to do some shore trashin today..ended up running into a couple good fishin buds and fellow nut job steelie anglers just about to head out in the boat. I was about to make some tracks to a quieter area on acount of the crowd that was already there, and low and behold, got an un expected invite out in the boat to join them for the day. Good thing I always throw the floater jacket in with me :Gonefishing:

Water is less than perfect...about the tannish colour of a cardboard box for lack of a better term

We worked the crap out of one small area that's been putting out a few when the conditions are off.

Took a while to find the right colour pattern to use for the day but all in all dispite the ice in the morning( spot was making ice as we fished  ) and the less than a foot viz of brown water, we winded up going 8 for 12 for the day......this 4 is the contribution I made to the 8 :thumbsup_anim:

I just noticed the "money shot" on the smaller one  chicka..chicka...wahhh...wahh...say hello to Uncle Milty!
