I caught my first ever walleye yesterday, what a thrill these beauties are!

Was trying for perch or small baitfish since everything is basically out of season in zone 16.

Does anyone have experience fishing Holland River East Branch? I went this weekend and it’s heavily pressured with many families throwing nightcrawlers with their kids. How do you compete against live bait with lures?

Hi Ontario Fishing Community - My name is Jason (31) and I'm from Richmond Hill. I have a deep passion for fishing but don't have too many hours logged on water. Everything I've learned so far has been from Youtube and books. Would love to meet some community members and dive deeper into this hobby! I've tried fishing small ponds, Scugog, Pigeon lake, Rice lake, Simcoe, and Couchiching over the past couple of years. The goal this year is to land a trophy pike and/or muskie. Tight lines!
