Accidentally broke a BPS Extreme® XPS rod about 3" from tip, my last time out. Took it with my receipt to customer service at the Vaughn store and they replaced it, not a question asked. Got the rod in April with a Pflueger President reel, and christened them with Beaver R Rainbows. Have used quite a bit this summer and enjoyed it very much.

One of my favorite lures for most stream species including brook and rainbow trout was "Kwikfish" in small k5 size but I can't find them anymore. I have found large rattling version only. Similar to a "flatfish" but single treble hook. Anyone know if they are still available?

Mike, it my have been a brown, but perhaps that elusive large brookie we dream of. I'm a little concerned because Thursday I caught 4 rainbows, 2 browns and O brook trout in a stream that has historically been known for brookies. May not be a good sign.

Insect repellent! I caught a few May 6 on the Saugeen.

Nice! I'm in Durham region. Here's a brown I caught Thursday after work in the headwaters of one of our creeks coming off the Oakridges Moraine.

Caught some nice ones Mon and Tues in the Beaver at Thornbury. My brother has been up there all week and they are still running.

Got a couple of nice rainbows om Monday May 5. My brother has been up there all week and getting 1 or 2 each day.
