  2. Floyd Hales? Bizarre, they used to be an excellent outfit. I actually had a Hales bomber run a couple of feet off of our portable shack on his way out and again on the way in 2 years ago. We where way off of his trail, and hundreds of yards from Hales huts fishing a waypoint from the open water season. He actually had to go well out of his way to take a run at us. It shocked me and I assumed it was a one off from a dummy employee. Maybe not.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I dont think Floyd Hales is owned by him he sold out a long time ago to Ben vivereen or someone close to that name and I heard he sold to someone a couple of years ago.Right or wrong.

  3. Who's keeping a Musky? Mmmmmm, Musky.

If you have the catch limit of any species of fish, and they are all dead can I keep fishing for that species? I say no. If 1 is alive I can cull it.

Does no one read the regulations, page 7 2016 regs it says "If you catch a fish after reaching the daily catch or possession limit for that species, the fish must be released immediately back to the water (see Ontario’s Catch and Retain Rules, page 9). If the limit is zero, anglers may practise catch and release only, and any fish caught must be released immediately back into the water in a manner that does not harm the fish. For some species there are no limits and no reference will be made to a limit in this summary (see Size Limits, page 8).

  4. I as well had no idea those things have floatation bags. Do they all?

I am glad to hear no one died. I have ridden on a few on Nipissing and it always amazed me that they didn't break through. But it was always 8" of ice at least not less. I as well have no idea why it would be such a secret not to name the operator. Did this incident ever become public? This doesn't happen everyday, does it? I personally would like to know who the operator was especially if I was someone that ventures out with these operators or intend to. Why the hush, hush?

    Should be no hush ,hush its posted on the Simcoe site with operators name,said it was Floyd Hales;

  5. The original question was can the non licensed person given the fish be able to "transport the fish" from point A to point B and the answer is yes. If the fish are clearly id'd. The crazy thing I have learned is that a non licensed person can possess more fish than I can with my conservation licence. So my non licensed, non fisherman room mate/wife/son/daughter/renter/mother in law/ stranger on the couch can possess a full sportsman limit on their side of the fridge and I can only possess for my conservation limit on my side of the fridge. The same goes for anyone else that lives there. They can have more fish possession than I can and I'm the one paying for an Outdoors card and license. C'mon Man!

You had the chance to buy the sports license but you opted to buy the conservation one instead,so you should not complain if a non fisher person can posses 4 fish, you made the choice not them.

  6. Mnr did a great job

Four men from the US have been handed severe punishments for over-fishing on Rice Lake, near Peterborough.

The men, two from Tennessee and two from Pennsylvania pleaded guilty to the charge of over-fishing and packaging the fish to conceal that.

The charges were laid after Ministry of Natural Resources Officers checked their cooler while they were leaving a Rice Lake cottage and found 49 walleye, 33 more than they were allowed to have between them.

The group was fined a total of $11,900 and all four are banned from angling in Ontario for the next three years.

  7. do you watch live sports? if so, a box is not for you

if you cant live without the national, a box is not for you

tell us about your viewing habits and those of us who are familiar with them can be of better use.

the boxes themselves are all the same in terms of what programming they can show. some do it faster, some have remotes, etc.

you can test drive what a box will do by downloading kodi to your computer and like gbw said, hit up youtube for all the latest on kodi add-ons.

Not true, my son has the box called Red Rino,he watches any live sports, and most any thing thats on any channel, example say you want to watch "the walking dead" you just bring up AMC channel and watch it.He paid $300 for that one got it at the Pickering flea market.
